  1. Sorry, Birthday, of course. ;-)

  2. Happy Birhday, Ali!

  3. Didier Drogba

Yeah, exactly my sentiments, but if he's really making a fuss over his career at chelsea I say let him go for a big cash payoff while we still can.
  4. Didier Drogba

Hmmm, Henry's situation was almost similar too, more or less. If we've learned anything along the way, it's that contracts mean for nothing, zip, nada...
  5. Name Change

    Much obliged, chief :)
  6. Name Change

Afternoon people, say! could my display name be changed to just 'Ali'? thank you...
  7. Books You've Enjoyed Or Would Recommend

Any good book on George Best that you know of?
  8. Mikel John Obi Off To China!

I never for once doubted his inclusion in our first eleven, I'd seen him feature in his national side once or twice and ever since I was hooked. His style of play has always reminded me the likes of Zidane, Riquelme and Veira. I'd go as far as to admit I was p*ssed when we signed Ballack which only meant that we won't be able to see Mikel getting a large piece of the action, yet he overshadowed almost everyone (barring Ess) and at times even Lampard in the midfield. Shows that we didn't get ourselves into a tug-of-war with united over a year and a half for nothing.
  9. Mikel John Obi Off To China!

http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...t+to+miss+final Surely a big blow to us, doesn't matter now though, we're still gonna kick their heads in :P. Wonder what our midfield's gonna look like now? is Boula available for the game (seeing as he was played against everton today) so that Ess could be pushed back into the midfield alongside lamp and Maka?
  10. Michael Essien

I think Kenyon did mention somewhere that we were going for both of em, we only ended up having Essien. Having said that, I don't think they can be compared, Stevie G's certainly older and more experienced and he's the captain of his side which also happens to be located in his hometown (funny he was an everton fan though :p), Liverpool's gameplan is always built around him. There's no way we can compare those two. Going on technical abilities alone, I think that Gerrard is better than Essien on set-pieces and long-range shooting, as well as his range of passing and overall awareness of the game, but then again it's down to his (Gerrard) age and experience.
  11. Musical Tastes

I'm very particular about what I like in music, I mostly listen to the 60's, 70's psychedelic rock. Mainly the Doors, beatles, pink floyd, Led Zeppelin, Cream (Eric Clapton), Bob Dylan, Megadeth, Type O negative etc. But then again I'd listen to anything that sounds good. Classic Indian songs (Mukesh, Kishore) are nice too, they can be listened to for a change.
  12. Ashley Cole

I thought about the possibility for a while too but it's a bit too far-fetched, he just can't cut it in the air. I'd rather take my chances with a half-fit Boularouz. Still, he's a better option than Essien, but then again we'd have to shift Terry to the right side of defense, JT's already looked shell-shocked at times ever since he recovered from the injury. Too much a gamble for a game like this if you ask me.
  13. Ashley Cole

This isn't a question of whether Cole's better than Bridgey or more injury-prone, as far as I'm concerned. Ashley could be the best thing since sliced bread for all I care. Do we really need to see a gooner in our colours? As if Manu Petite wasn't enough.
  14. Ashley Cole

Couldn't agree with you anymore, no point in bringing Cole here. Stick with Bridge and lookout for someone who can cover for him.
  15. Gianfranco Zola

    Why not? :)
