  1. Didier Drogba

Yeah, exactly my sentiments, but if he's really making a fuss over his career at chelsea I say let him go for a big cash payoff while we still can.
  2. Didier Drogba

Hmmm, Henry's situation was almost similar too, more or less. If we've learned anything along the way, it's that contracts mean for nothing, zip, nada...
  3. Name Change

    Much obliged, chief :)
  4. Name Change

Afternoon people, say! could my display name be changed to just 'Ali'? thank you...
  5. Books You've Enjoyed Or Would Recommend

Any good book on George Best that you know of?
  6. Michael Essien

I think Kenyon did mention somewhere that we were going for both of em, we only ended up having Essien. Having said that, I don't think they can be compared, Stevie G's certainly older and more experienced and he's the captain of his side which also happens to be located in his hometown (funny he was an everton fan though :p), Liverpool's gameplan is always built around him. There's no way we can compare those two. Going on technical abilities alone, I think that Gerrard is better than Essien on set-pieces and long-range shooting, as well as his range of passing and overall awareness of the game, but then again it's down to his (Gerrard) age and experience.
  7. Musical Tastes

I'm very particular about what I like in music, I mostly listen to the 60's, 70's psychedelic rock. Mainly the Doors, beatles, pink floyd, Led Zeppelin, Cream (Eric Clapton), Bob Dylan, Megadeth, Type O negative etc. But then again I'd listen to anything that sounds good. Classic Indian songs (Mukesh, Kishore) are nice too, they can be listened to for a change.
  8. Ashley Cole

I thought about the possibility for a while too but it's a bit too far-fetched, he just can't cut it in the air. I'd rather take my chances with a half-fit Boularouz. Still, he's a better option than Essien, but then again we'd have to shift Terry to the right side of defense, JT's already looked shell-shocked at times ever since he recovered from the injury. Too much a gamble for a game like this if you ask me.
  9. Ashley Cole

This isn't a question of whether Cole's better than Bridgey or more injury-prone, as far as I'm concerned. Ashley could be the best thing since sliced bread for all I care. Do we really need to see a gooner in our colours? As if Manu Petite wasn't enough.
  10. Ashley Cole

Couldn't agree with you anymore, no point in bringing Cole here. Stick with Bridge and lookout for someone who can cover for him.
  11. Gianfranco Zola

    Why not? :)
  12. Gianfranco Zola

You're in luck :P, here's the link. http://www.freewebs.com/chelsearesource/do...aloftheday.html Top Site!
  13. Didier Drogba

He always seems to have his heart on his sleeve, which, in my opinion, more than makes up for his lack of skill and class.
  14. Michael Essien

And where does Diarra fit in?
  15. Michael Essien

quote:Originally posted by Duffo The BearChelsea are close to a deal with Ghana for Michael Essien to return early from the African Nations Cup. (Mirror) Have Ghana accepted a bung to throw the tournament or has Essien agreed to take out a few players to weaken the opposition before getting banned and flying home? id="quote"> id="quote">Errr... a little from Column A, a little from Column B ;p.
  16. Michael Essien

It must have been so frustrating for the rivals last season as there was hardly any blue boy they could've picked on (except for Drogba perhaps), now that Michael Essien has caused a stir, they now so obviously have a patsy.

By then we would have gotten used to playing without him, seeing as he's gonna represent his country in the African tournament. Apologies for not spelling things out in the first place.
  18. Michael Essien

The way I see it, he's off to africa anyway. I'm sure we'll learn to play without him before the CL tie materialises, as if we haven't already :)
  19. Michael Essien

Isn't it surprising how quickly liverpudlians have forgotten Hamann's two footed lunge on Damien Francis of Norwich city, riding on the poor bloke's solitary leg with both feet as if he was out surfing :P
  20. Didier Drogba

Funny cause Drogba's the only one who can actually stop us from winning this title :P. Glad he's realized it.
  21. Michael Essien

Very thoughtful of him I must say, wonder what the liverpool supporters (on this forum) have to say now?
  22. Michael Essien

I'd rather they hand him a suspension. Let's get it all over with.
  23. Didier Drogba

Heh, all that fortune can't buy you a decent first touch I'm afraid :P

He didn't mean it, as he is hard competitor, rather than a dirty player, but as Dan says, that isn't an excuse. id="quote"> id="quote">believe me, he kept on for like the whole game.
