  1. Didier Drogba

I think that is a shocking team of the year. Buffon - Over-rated and played in a team in Serie B in Italy. Any international player could look good in a second division (except Stewart Downing maybe). Cech, Casillas, Valdes and Reina should easily be picked ahead of Buffon. Nesta - Haven't really seen to much of Nesta this past year to pass comment, but Nesta has always been a quality defender. Cannavaro - Playing in a frail defence. Far too slow to be playing in a quick, technical league like La Liga. Picked up 15 yellow cards and 2 red cards last season and a yellow this season. Living off his name in the Real Madrid squad at the moment. Terry - Been great this year. Will do anything to stop the ball going in his teams net and commits to everything. Super year. Puyol - Last season, he was pretty much the defence for Barcelona and played well. Not seen much this season but stats suggest a tight defence. Gerrard - Played ok without be fantastic. Liverpool look poor wthout him, but slightly better than average with him. Other players deserve to be in there more on performances. Where is Fabregas ? C. Ronaldo - Brilliant last season. Slowish start this season, but still a classy act. Deserves his place in team of the year. Kaka - Superb player. Not seen toomuch Italian football, but has played well in Champions League. Messi - Consistanty played well for Barcelona this year. Had a few injuries but strided back in the team like he hadn't been away. Best Barcelona (and probably the world) attacking player of the year. Drogba - Definatly should be here. Fantastic season. Kept us going in times of need, and saved us several times. Ronaldinho - Why on earth are you in this team Ronaldinho ? My biggest problem with this team of the year (along with Buffon). Been poor for Barcelona, in the team for his tricks and showboating. Can be very lazy. Most of his goals are from penelties and some free kicks. Many strikers have played better over the year (Van Nistelrooy, Milito, Villa, Forlan). I hate these player of the year awards, they are just popularity contests. Get rid of them all.
  2. Didier Drogba

The one off his shin against Arsenal was probably better. That was a classic.

  4. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

  5. Gianfranco Zola

I admire all the skill that Ronaldinho has, but I'd have to say that Zola (in his prime) would be a better acquisition.
  6. Michael Essien

He certainly isn't worth £16.7 million. From what I've seen of him, I'd say he's worth about £10 million at the extreme most.

Can't find anyone by the name of 'Imro Robben'. I suspect it's just a made up person.
  8. Michael Essien

Apparently, Robinho has already agreed a deal with Real, and will move there this summer.
