  1. New Kits

  2. New Kits

What's happened to Wigan's stripes? They're kit is starting to mirror ours... (blue shirt-blue shorts-white socks)!! And looking at the Everton ones, I'm glad we've no longer got Umbro. Logo on the shoulder - what's that about!!??
  3. New Kits

quote:Originally posted by charlie cookeI hope adidas make them a more tighter fit so that middle aged fatties (myself included)stop waddling around the shops sporting tops that only boys n youths should wear. id="quote"> id="quote">They ain't gonna do that - I think despite the popularity of The Blues with younger fans these days, they still sell more XL + sizes than kids. Be like cutting their nose to spite their face!! ;))
  4. Gianfranco Zola

All 312 games!!! (Not that I saw all of them!!!) & all 80 goals!! ;) Of those I witnessed, Stockholm was special - was right behind that goal and saw it goin in all the way... Loved his little celebratory outburst after. And also him leaving Julian Dicks with "twisted blood" - think that was his first at The Bridge from open play.
  5. John Terry

THE best defender around wants to play for US for at least the next TEN years! Only 525 "wonderful memories" to go then JT...! Can only wonder how many of these future games will end with JT's arms aloft with silverware grasped proudly in his hands..? "JT is our leader, JT is our leader, la la la la, la la la la.."
  7. Didier Drogba

quote:Originally posted by Victorias SecretAre you sure it wasn't Dave Johnstone?! He's quite popular with the players... When Joey scored his second beaut in the Colchester FA Cup match he ran over to MHL and planted a smacker right on the lips of CFCUK's Dave! And for some strange reason since then Dave has taken to wearing pink mittens... could be mistaken for a lady? id="quote"> id="quote">But Dave's only resorted to kissing the players because you refuse to kiss him... ;))
  8. Didier Drogba

quote:Originally posted by Harry Sideras> But if Drogba didn't go to ground like a dying swan every time... I'm really getting fed up with this repetitious regurguitated noise. :( id="quote"> id="quote">Me too. But you can guarantee that if he plays on Sat, all the media & some of our fans will be watching him like a hawk just waiting for him to make a mistake and over-analysing every single time he comes into contact with another player. I just hope he plays like he did in the league at Anfield, and leaves evryone with nothing but good football to chew over after.

  10. Chelsea Finances Thread

quote:Originally posted by Ed of the ShedNone of this bothers me in the slightest for the following reasons;- 1) IF Roman were to sell the club it is now worth massively more than he paid for it both as a going concern, value of the squad and in fixed assets. 2) In a way Roman got the club on the cheap. The fixed assets, site, of the club is valued at 300 million alone. That is why we were never in a Leeds situation, we secured our loan against assets as opposed to Leeds who gambled upon Champions League Qualification for the next 10 years. 3) Compare our situation to Arsenal. I know that they are mitigating the costs of their new stadium with developing Highbury and the Emirate Sponsorship. I don't know that this true, but I have heard that they are still over 200 million short for the new ground! Where is this coming from? We know that Roman can easilly find that money for us. 4) As we become higher profile we will attract bigger sponsorship packages, success breeds success. One poster says 90 million, is that all........well it is a lot of money but not in the scenario that we are talking about here. I suspect that if Roman were to sell the club he would get back most of his money anyway......... he could add it to the other 14 billion that he has. id="quote"> id="quote">Ed of The Shed - you talk a lot of sense, mate. All this announcement does is to give all those red-shirt wearers another opportunity to demonstrate the green-eyed monster syndrome... So much is made by other teams fans of the "disgusting amounts" we've spent on tranfers, but little of the fact that this is an investment in assets, and I'd completely agree that the current market value of our first team squad (less what we've got back for selling players like Tiago, Kezman, Parker etc)is greater than what we've spent since Roman took over. We invested in assets which collectively have already risen in value, and IMO are nowhere near their peak yet. Roman didn't get to be where he is today by luck. He invested in Chelsea because he saw huge potential, coupled with the timing of MU/Ars in relative decline & with financial restrictions, and knew that he had a great chance of actually making money off it over time, despite the huge initial investment required. That's he's got so emotionally attached is just a big bonus, for both us & him... because the day when RA walks away from CFC will only happen in the dreams of all our knockers... Where abouts in Brazil are you, by the way? (I used to be married to a Capixaba!)

He said he was with a very fit dutch girl. id="quote"> id="quote">Looks like it's down to all the overpaid Prem footballers to keep the economy afloat this Xmas & the retailers in business... I sure as hell can't afford to do much Xmas shopping after budgeting for the games I wanna attend in the new year...
