Torres's cross to Mata was pretty good.

Would revenue from a larger stadium count but not the cost of acquiring it?

I'm pleased he got some decent time, and what a through ball. However I'm concerned that he's reluctant to track back which exposed our right.

The efforts of posters as yourself and others on the youth and reserves are very much appreciated! Living across the pond, I get most of my information and analysis about them here. It really helps me form a closer connection with the club on more levels than the first team. The recurring theme I understand is that Josh is a marvelous player in the making. Thanks and keep up the great work.

I think he should work on taking shots quickly. If he could produce some power and quickly take a shot when he gets some space he'd be much more dangerous. Right now he's got a lanky gait that may take time to line up a powerful shot. Good stuff getting his flicked shot off quickly against Fulham though!

I like what I see of him. Keeping things in perspective he is a talented 22 year young player that I think will keep getting better. He seems to be our main youth player along with Mikel that gets lots of playing time to develop.

My personal opinion's Kalou's a support striker. Sure he does okay on the wide forward position, but that's not where he's best at. I have a good feeling about him, and as long as anyone's a Chelsea player with his attitude right I'll support him. Doesn't mean I don't realise he could/should be better or be critical, just I won't abuse him. As far as I'm concerned, he's already ahead of Shevchenko so we might as well play Kalou who has more to come from as he matures. As with young players, they're not immediately up to standard but you play them anyway hoping they'll get there. It's the same thing with Scott and Ben.

Guess we may see how Drogba and Kalou combo together when they play in the ANC.

Unmotivated? Hardly. He was fighting as usual, probably through his recovering injury. If there's anyone that lacks motivation it's the fans. He was charged up, pumping his fists and shouting the fans on every time he got near the crowd.
-
He has a knack for getting into scoring positions, but his finishing is abysmal. If he could improve his finishing he'd be close to amazing.

A way of looking at it, the one I take anyway is we could be signing players with limited service left on the cheap to fill in the squad until our youth are ready to step up in a year or two. If we signed a relatively young hotshot straight for the first team, the youth in that position would have less chance to challenge over the long run, or when they're ready to try to break in.

That looks really nice! Much better than the yellow one. Maybe I'm just partial to white and blue because I wear the white Emirates one with the blue stripe down the mid when I play :)

They've brought in a new generation while they're very young. Too young to use at the moment. We'll have above average youth in a few years, so I'd just wait for the problem to fix itself.

Cole's not as good as he was because he's taking time to settle. Not because his best days are behind. This discussion might work on Shevchan or Ballack but not Ashley.

I love his ball control. It always impresses me when the ball's so close to his feet when he dribbles.
