  1. A free kick for a high foot is surely indirect? Therefore they wouldn't have taken a shot at goal from the resulting free kick. It was a poor decision from a poor referee, who I think got more wrong than right.
  2. Only if we fill it, which we won't if we carry on playing like we are. There were loads of empty seats for the Everton game. More than a season of this and the crowds / tourists will dwindle.
  3. I can probably cheer you up a bit with a true anecdote about Geoffrey: A few years back now, he played Saturday football for Sandridge Rovers in the Herts County League. He was an annoying little toad even back then, with his constant billy Big Bollox about working for Sky and his favourite line when butting into any conversation about football, "I've seen "your team" more times than you have this season". Anyway, he was a sub for the 2nd team and was whining on the touchline, when the manager made a change and put him on, a few of us clubbed together approached the manager and offered him some cash to take him off again. The manager duly obliged, Shouting "Shreevsy take a blow". Geoffrey jogged off the pitch kept going all the way to the changing rooms and never returned to the club.
  4. Who run left backs, hence he was on the other side of the pitch and couldn't possibly make the call. Personally I can see why he gave a penalty and I sit upper tier right behind the goal. The thing I don't understand is how the Djuricic "assault" on Willian is not a red card, horrible thing to do and should have gone for it. Costa would be all over the papers for an achillies scrape like that. I left the ground reasonably happy, massive effort in the second half and for a change the crowd got behind the team. A point nearer and one game less for the chasers
  5. Spot on Nobly, the man on the Clapham omnibus believes almost everything that's written or said in the media. It's the only way some of the non thinking brain deads can even have an opinion, the only way they can hold a conversation. Hence why I have to laugh at those who profess to "hate" Josie Cunningham. She is playing a game and winning. Given the limited tools that nature bestowed upon her, she is doing well!
  6. Thats fair. Happy to donate £50 to the NSPCC if he avoids a ban, you have my word, I will send you a copy of the payment. I agree about a more worthy cause and nominate Macmillan Cancer Support. The game is afoot!
  7. I'll take that bet all day and donate the winnings - if there is any to CFCnet. He will get banned, even if there is an appeal, which delays the inevitable. Name your charity!
  8. Surely football as a whole did that years ago Dave?
  9. He is right but that doesn't mean he should say it publicly, it just gives the away fans another stick with which to beat us. If the team performs, or even puts in 100% effort, the support is there. It's very hard to get excited over corned beef when you've been served fillet steak on a regular basis. Saturday was the perfect example of that.
  10. no one around me thought he would score either. To be fair though, he had a better game than Mark Clattenburg.
  11. That's the classic 9th pint syndrome, I have it too! I don't think that's the problem with Solly though.
  12. Or a ripped out fireplace
  13. Just been away for a short break and read and thoroughly enjoyed: The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman (kids book) a diiferent take on the Jungle Book, The Ice Man - Richard Kaplinski and got a fair way through Beautiful Children by Charles Bock, loved his style.
  14. The rumour I heard is, he needs the additional income to help fund his desire to become a woman when he finishes playing. Apparently it's hard to get decent glitzy sling backs in size 11. Just a rumour though...........
  15. I sort of get it now, it's a con and by charging £350 it is thieving? Personally I would rather pay £350 for a framed and signed JT shirt than silly money for a pile of bricks, a sheep cut in half or a single line squiggle in menstual blood, by some daft, out of her head waster who's just got out of her unmade bed (complete with condoms) Just my opinion though.
