Musical Tastes

Possibly the most pointless argument ever, as it all depends on what they listen to... but definately the first lot in my case... though I am 16.

We often have the most pointless arguments ever. :D

16 is fine, it's just he seems to think I'm weird for NOT liking Country ballads and that the Arctic Monkeys and Bloc Party are, in his words, 'going nowhere.'

Someone settle an argument.

For 17 year olds, who is the most well known band?

Kate Nash/Maximo Park/Dirty Pretty Things or Lonestar/Travelling Wilberries?

I'm 17 and I'd say Maximo Park or DPT.

Thank you! :D

Like Litchy says it's a stupid question really, but it needs to be answered! We always have discussion about things that come down to opinion and for some reason some people cannot except that we all have different tastes. For example, who is the most beautiful women in the world? We would all say someone different.

Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly - I Spy

Editors - Racing Rats

3 quality songs!

The whole Editors album is class IMO, my favourites being 'An End Has a Start,' 'Weight of the World,' and 'Racing Rats.'

I only discovered 'The National' a few weeks ago, started listening to 'Alligator' and 'Boxer.' 'Mistaken for Strangers,' 'Start a War,' 'Val Jester' and 'Karen' are my favourites.

Other bands I'm listening to at the moment:

Rogue Wave

Nine Black Alps

Cherry Ghost

!!! (chk chk chk)

Mazzy Star - Fade Into You

You were talking a language I cannot understand until you mentioned Mazzy Star. Always loved that track and only recently purchased the CD 'So tonight that I might see'. Has some great stuff on it especially 'Into Dust'. She has an amazing voice.

I may be just an old f*rt but you've got to go a long way to beat a bit of Thin Lizzy, saw 'em twice when I was a kid once with Brian Robertson on lead and then with Gilmour(not so good) and after all the other bands I've been into have faded away I always find myself drawn back to Phil Lynott and the boys.

cheers...jezza...

Rogue Wave - Eyes is a cracking little song!

Heard it on the Heroes soundtrack the other night also.

!!! - Must Be The Moon is another good song from a great band.

I saw Nine Black Alps recently in Glasgow and they were pretty damn good, Unsatisfied has to be my favourite track.

Operator Please - Just A Song About Ping Pong

Pull Tiger Tail - Let's Lightening

Of Montreal - Microuniversity

Bright Eyes - At The Bottom Of Everything

The Brightlights - Another Night

Scanners - Bombs

Mr Doyle you have a great taste in music.
