Acquired the new Kings of Leon album - Only By The Night and to be totally honest even though I'm a huge KOL fan and have loved everything they've done so far, I have to say it's average at best.

Sex on fire, Crawl, Use Somebody and Manhattan are all good tracks, just the rest of them are very meh and a disappointment overall.

Doesn't live up to the previous releases unfortunately.

I've got all of their albums to date, and will get Only By The Night. I think "Sex On Fire" is a great tune.

can't stand modern bands , they can't play and hide behind videos, Oasis are just John lennon copies, being older we've recently been to concerts O2 Led Zeppelin ,O2 Rolling Stones , O2 The Eagles , Genesis at Twickenham , Now these guys can do the business ! Modern bands can only copy whats been done years ago.

Actually I think the problem lies not with modern music but with you. If you had a look around I bet you'd find loads of bands that you would enjoy. Completely writing off everything made after your youth is nonsense.

I listen to them all , been to Jools Holland TV show seen a lot of em live , most can't sing or play much ,mostly sampled recordings , these guys will leave no musical legacy Like ie Beatles, Stones , Elton John , Queen , Beach Boys , Supertramp , Genesis , There is hardly anything out there style / music that hasnt been copied. Depends on your taste eh ? Music is like food... plenty of variety. If Lily Allen , Amy Winehouse and Babyshambles are the 'in thing' God help us lol.

Of course John Lennon has a cracking voice! And Kele from Bloc Party cannot play a guitar.

Anyone on here a fan of Audioslave? Got turned on to them when I heard the title track from Casino Royale. Vocalist from Soundgarden meets Rage Against the Machine. I must admit they are rather good.

Also loving the Biffy Clyro single 'mountains' - very good song but makes me piss myself whenever I hear the uber strong west country accents, sorry peeps.

Going to see Fall Out Boy in sunny Glasgi next month and can't bloody wait.

Artists currently on my 'fatwa list' are:

Girls Aloud (as always and they shall forever remain)

Buffy

Natasha Beddingfield

Akon

If anyone could brutalise any of the above with a dead wood pigeon I would be eternally grateful and perhaps even buy you a pint or 3.

*Apparently* they're really poor live, musically they're still great but the singing just isn't there, which is quite dissapointing. But saying that they could just oof had an off gig when I got told that, hope you have a good time anywho.
