How comes your English is so good?

I live in Sweden and started learning English in the fourth grade, these days though, kids get to learn it from the first grade which is even better.

vs Sporting Gijón: Courtois didn't have to make a single save tonight either. Sporting didn't stand a chance tonight. He didn't have to do anything on set-pieces as Atlético's defence handled everything in the aerial game. He did have two shakey moments which could've ended badly; first a cross from the right side by Carmelo which Courtois got surprised by..but it passed by him and out to a throw-in, a connection there and it would've been a goal though. Second was when Sílvio made a slightly weak backpass and Courtois got confused whether he should take it or another player, decided to hoof it up the pitch and solved the situation that way.

The big test is this weekend against Barcelona on Camp Nou though.

Adaemus

Great take and finish from Kakuta. Hen may have stagnated slightly in recent times but there was never really any doubt about his ability; let's hope he gets plenty of games at Bolton and can come back to us as a replacement for one of Kalou/Malouda next season.

Thanks for the Courois updates Zoric!

Sir

so its safe to assume he is now their first choice ahead of joel?

100 Per cent, and the clean sheets show why. He hasn't had a lot to do in some games, but you can't argue with the fact that he isn't letting the ball hit his net. Barcelona away is a huge test for Atletico as a team, but many just assume they will lose. But, they're gonna give Barcelona a real go of it. This Atletico side are playing really good football, and Falcao can't stop scoring, either. As a unit they look pretty strong at the back, so it's gonna be a very interesting game.

Valencia had great success down the left hand side against Barca last night, particularly in the first half. Emery picked both Mathieu and Alba against Alves and it worked a treat. When they were 2-1 up they could easily have gone 3-1 up a couple of times. Soldado was in position in front of an open goal but the ball arrived at his feet too quickly.

Barca will probably cut through Atletico's defence like butter as they do to just about everyone, but the lack of support their full backs get and (let's be honest) haphazard CB pairing of Abidal/unfit Puyol/Mascherano should allow Atletico to give it a real go. Filipe Luis and Turan should target Alves while Falcao is just a class act. Could be a high scoring game, and I'm sure Thibaut will have the chance to make a real impression.
