Some interesting findings in this article which analyses the contents of BBC sport's daily gossip column, which is a round-up of all the press stories printed each day.

It confirms that Chelsea are - just ahead of ManU - the most written-about club. It also confirms that the rumours the press circulate about our supposed transfer dealings are wrong 80% of the time, a figure higher than all but one club in the Prem (oddly, that club is WBA).

Strangely, the rumours they print about Man City are 70% accurate.

Makes you wonder why people get in such a tis on this forum about each and every rumour that appears.

Dont remember which but somewhere I read that Mane was the most influential signing of the summer. Alonso was in the list but no Kante, strange since so many rate his effect.

Mane will be at ACN so if its right he is influential its **** luck for LFC

What I took from that was we are wasting our time reading the BBC website and should go straight to the guardian or sky site.

Four Chelsea fans accused of aggravated violence against a black man on the Paris Metro have been given suspended one-year sentences by a French court, and ordered to pay 10,000 EUR compensation.

Cue for stories in the press of anti-semitic chanting on the Northern Line this Wednesday evening. Keep it clean, chaps ...

That story was a joke from start to finish. Stich up of epic proportions.

Could only have happened to us. Only a few weeks later both City and United fans were involved in a lot worse racist attacks.  Hardly a mention in national media and only a side note in Manchester media.

Baloo

Listening to the collective scum on the Sunday Supplement really does show the pathetic sense of self importance that these hacks have.

Interesting watching the 2 Sun representatives wriggling and squirming talking about Graham Taylors passing. Instead of taking responsibility for their personal attacks on Taylor they try convince us that Graham Taylor actually thought that Swedes 2 Turnips 1 was a good headline. Really? I was waiting for them to say how much he loved seeing a picture of his head in the shape of a turnip to accompany the headline,

Of course Taylor isn't around any longer to refute this...how convenient. Jesus does anyone actually buy this rag?
