Jose Mourinho Sacked For The Second Time by Chelsea. Joins Manchester United. And now sacked by them too!

Recommended Posts

I questioned why we needed Falcao and you ask me who else we would have signed. I ask how on earth Jose will get us out if this mess and you ask me who I would prefer. I say we shouldn't be paying silly money for an unproven defender, and guess what's your response - who else would I rather we signed. Isn't there a way to debate the qualities of a footballer or manager without trying to suggest there was no other option?

So you know what you don't like but you don't know what you do like.

You're invaluable in this debate. Everything's wrong but you have nothing.

Well there are some who know their own club well, and others who claim to have as much broad and deep knowledge about the game and about clubs in every country as a top tabloid sports writer. You have boasted as much.

It generally shows.

Obviously I am not talking about high block or advanced FBs.

I'm talking about how much psychological pressure you put on your star player. Or whether to play the likes of Kalou or Matic and go with their reputation rather than what you actually know about them. You could add Fabregas to those two if you choose, others will add JT and many would add Ivanovic. Players that opponents are scared of but perhaps are not nearly as good as their reputation.

Another risk taken is to go with a small squad (though I think even JM was unhappy with the size of last season's squad and furious with this season - why do people keep asking why we bought Djilobodji - on September 1st).

If there are few injuries and the squad motivation is good, it can work for you. A few injuries, a few losses, and poor motivation and it can be a disaster. The average manager loses his most valuable tool when the squad is too small to drop more than one or two players. A great motivator might think the risk was worth taking.

I've been defending JM for about 10 years now. Much as I have been claiming that JT has another 3 years in him for the past 7 or 8 years.

I'll be wrong one day - and I can be sure it will be one of the xxxxs that have been wrong for the past 9 years that will point it out.

This is very Jamie Redknapp. Plenty of words in it, telling me nothing though.

I asked what risks ? You present one example that you then question if that is actually his decision ! You then bring up not playing a player who left the club about 4 years back and not playing a player who he has played in the vast majority of matches since he rejoined us from Benfica. As for Fabregas, he has been out of the team in the last week, it's not like he has been warming the bench for 7/8 games.

As I said, you will defend him regardless and I'm not really knocking that, you have to accept it will dilute your argument with people who have a knowledge of football and knowledge of you as a poster. It's clear to anyone that you think the likes of Ramires and Mikel should play majority of matches, yet JM has not seen things that way in the last 18 months. Rather than admit that there is a disagreement between the two of you, you just claim they have not been fit enough to play, this is something that has been well and truly quashed in the last couple of weeks when Mikel played 180 minutes in the space of 3/4 days.........of course in your mind, they are now fit enough, hence why they have been playing more !

My friend has the same problem with Ronaldo. He keeps telling people he is a rubbish footballer and we always ask him who is worse. We'll just about accept Messi as an opinion, but he never comes up with anyone else.

He reckons he has justified Benitez dropping Ronaldo and can't understand why we or Benitez needs a better player first.

Not fair is it.

Probably why you seem to have replied to something else.

Still making a fortune on the sports betting?

You seem rather interested in me personally. Your first point referred to my boasting of my knowledge when it was not relevant to the conversation.

Now your asking about my sports betting activities.....again not really relevant I would suggest. To be honest, I have had a steady year at best, below expectations to be honest.......not sure I ever said I made a fortune though to be honest . However, if you have quotes from me to support that I did then happy to see them ??

Seems a real crusade to make this personal.

This is a Chelsea forum. Here we debate Chelsea players and managers. I don't think I have ever read anything from you other than you asking me who else is out there. If that is all you have then I'm happy to remain with nothing. Thank you. Edited by Blue Rod

Sounds like you're talking about a very strange scenario where a Real Madrid fan is debating a Real Madrid player in a Real Madrid forum. What I find paticularly disturbing is that your friend appears to disagree with majority opinion or sacred truth. Strange things do happen, my friend. Edited by Blue Rod

Well done tonight - Willian phenomenal, Baba good, got the result. More of this please. Great support for Jose.

No one doubts he is the best manager we've had, and one of the best around.

I so so hope this is the beginning of the turnaround, and he stays.

Still not 100% sure it will though.

Thank god that the majority at Stamford bridge expressed there support for OUR manager. That support just highlights how sad the 5 or 6 people on this thread are. Hang your heads in shame, you know who young are. Especially the one ( at least ) who is a journo.

Look at the specialist in failure and be careful what you wish for.
