Not as many pitches at Hackney Marshes as there used to be before the Olympics. Many were paved over for a car park and a media centre. It's what is known locally as the "Olympic Legacy".

I was under the impression that work on the concourse from Fulham Broadway station to the ground would begin at the end of the season just gone

Wasn't that supposed to be the platform over the railway lines?

not sure how reliable this is from the Daily Mail:

Provided permission is granted, work will commence at the end of this season (last season) with the construction of improved access from the back of the current stadium to Fulham Broadway Underground station. This will be achieved by putting rafting over the railway lines behind the East Stand and the Matthew Harding Stand.

Bizarre quote in the newspaper today

  • YOU have to hope that the Chelsea hierarchy have sounded out the people who built the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The sold-out 64,101 stadium is one of the very best arenas in the world.

did anyone go to the match a tell us how good the stadium is?

I drove by it a couple of months back.... :D

But this is a new NFL stadium, it's going to be state of the art without even needing to research.
