So tell us, what would you do if your were Roman Abramovich?

How would you spend those millions? Who would you sack, and who would you hire (and why?).

kev61 wants to know (and so do I)........:).

Firstly , I'd form a football board , with someone like Claudio Ranieri as director of football with , Drogba , Lampard and JT  as members with whoever's in charge of the kids as another member and the current manager as the last.

They would be in charge of player recruitment and developing an identity of what we want regarding the way we want to play as a club.

There would be a minimum requirement of at least 22 top grade professional footballers in the first team squad and a handful of development players to utilise for cup games with the remit that one player should get meaningful minutes in the league every week.

There will no longer be any hospitality for anyone in the press whatsoever they have abused our hospitality for years without a decent word amongst them for the club.

Employ a state of the art team of filmmakers to make a highlight package for the likes of MOTD to use which shows everything that happens of interest in the game , not just the bits that make us look bad..

Employ a stooge in charge of a company with no connection to Chelsea to sponsor the club via naming rights for the stadium , ends of the grounds , canteen , boot room, office cat for the tune of billions every year .

Lifetime bans for Martin Tyler and Tony Gale . No broadcaster to be allowed access if they employ them in any capacity.

Search UK wide for a redevelopment opportunity to put the new ground whilst offering the existing plot free of charge to  the government provided it is to be turned into a state of the art prison facility specialising in the rehabilitation of violent prisoners into the community via a halfway house system situated in the Kensington and Chelsea borough to test just how important the right to light really is if we really cannot stay.

I think even a really bleeding obvious connection seems fine!

Honestly, just get the ground built. Money is the issue here; think all the stuff about playing identity, football boards etc. has a role, but when you have money you can get the quality of player and in the quantity needed to compete. That can go wrong (ahem, Arsenal) but I think it's the only route to at all sustained competition with Barca, Real, Bayern, PSG, United and City in the longer term.

The alternative, if Abramovich wants to spend his money (and he doesn't have to) is to go all-out and really push UEFA. Danger there is not knowing how City or PSG might respond if FFP were to fully crumble. They don't seem to be holding back but imagine if this is them being careful ...

If I were Roman I'd.... give an interview. Just the one would do.  Make sure it was a sensible interviewer (that's not you Piers Morgan) and lets just hear what the bloke has to say. Does any fan even know what his voice sounds like? Is it too much to ask after 14 years?

Very interesting read, however I was just hoping to hear him speak and answer questions, even if it's in Russian with a translator. 11 years is a long time ago and much has changed. Maybe it's time Roman? It bothers me that I've never heard him utter a word about our club.

Iron out all the issues that surround the stafium, get it to a position where it is 100% ready to start building, then sell the club.

.......buy a permanent box at SB, sell up the club and relax on my rather large yacht  and enjoy the rest of my life sailing around the South Pacific.

Actually, I would change very little. I would not give interviews either. I would go to games. I might spend some games in the MHL or the Shed. I might make a documentary explaining how the football club is structured internally, how the academy works, how the business and football needs are balanced and so on. I wouldn't be in it though.

Back Conte, and tell the press to **** off every time we go 3 games without a win and they start speculating on the future of the manager.  Get rid of some of the muppets on the board, tell the manager to give our youth players a chance instead of forking out on duds like Bakayoko who can't play at all, ban Talksport from the Bridge and lower the ticket prices.
