Seven days to get ready for this one, probably the longest break we have had for months and hopefully a good opportunity to regroup, get some players back fit and get some tactical work done on the training pitch. Our best 11 need to start this one Azpi, Alonso, Kante, Cesc, Willian, Hazard, Giroud. Hopefully some minutes for Morata and leave Christensen to recover fully we will need him!

Next game is FA cup to Hull where Willy, Palmieri, Ampadu, Drinkwater, Moses, Hudson-Odoi should all start with Giroud and Morata sharing minutes. Couldn't give a monkeys about this game at present, that team should be good enough for a depleted Hull in the mean time out best 11 should be practising relentlessly for Barca and City games coming up and two weeks without a game should help fitness.

Being positive the next two weeks are a good opportunity to get our house in order and our season back on track.

Lose this game to West Brom and it's inevitable A.C. goes if he hadn't already. Hopefully he is given the chance of a week with a fuller squad to turn it around.

First full week on the training ground with the players since 20-27 August. Although hopefully all those involved last night get 3 days off to go away, get over what happened last night and remember how to play football.

Got a ticket for this one, paid £51.

Not paying that for the useless dog turd I have seen the last two games.

Can’t see Conte in charge for this one anyway.

Exactly.  And then another ahead of the cup game.  Then Barca and the home run.

The last 10 and a half weeks (22 games) have been a predictable nightmare, and frankly the team has exceeded my expectations.

Actually there are only 3 days off between this game and the Hull match. The 14/15 players that Conte is considering using against Barcelona should be nowhere near the FA Cup match.

As someone else said, playing senior players in the cups has been a severe effect on league form.

First team with three days off. Meaning they will get a rest, physically and mentally. Which they need, no doubt. On the other hand, there will be little room for preparation, so those of us hoping for a formation change will likely have to wait a little longer for the inevitable.

Hopefully Morata is back and can share minutes with Giroud - we need them both fit for Barcelona. Assuming we will continue with the 3-4-3 over the next period:

WBA: Courtois - Azpi Christensen Rudiger - Moses Kanté Fabregas Alonso - Willian Morata Hazard

Hull (change all 11 players for maximum rest and preparation): Caballero - Ampadu Luiz Cahill - Zappacosta Drinkwater Bakayoko Palmieri - Pedro Giroud Barkley

Barca: Same as WBA

You're a proper charmer when you're in the mood, aren't you, James?
