Walking down the Fulham Road, ever since we were young...

Recommended Posts

To the tune of a famous Napoli chant:

Walking down the Fulham Road,

Ever since we were young,

The hairs on our neck stood up,

As we approached the ground,

The legends on the Shed Wall,

Will never be erased,

We’ll sing the name of Chelsea,

Until our dying day,

Chelsea Chelsea Chelsea

Chelsea Chelsea Chelsea

Chelsea Chelsea Chelsea

Chelsea Chelsea Chelsea

Atletico made this tune popular amongst Spanish teams as well.

The Scousers are the first English team to make a chant out of it (which is annoying, I’ve been obsessed about this tune since 2016 which you can see from my previous thread trying to make a chant out of it haha).

I don’t go to pubs or anything and even though I am one of the loudest singers at games, I’d be too shy to get this started. But we really really need a poetical chant like this, whether it’s this or a different one.

We have a fine reportoire of chants, but we need something that plays on the emotional side a bit more, tieing it to the Bridge, to our legends, to our lives etc.

What do you guys think? Or is this just too cheesy for our supporters? :)

I totally agree with the things you say about how we must up our standards of the chants we sing. I quite like the lyrics but I don't expect to hear it at the bridge any time soon tbh. We need to upgrade the chants that we have at the moment and this is a really good place to start.

UTC!
