They're decimated by injury , that alone should keep the score down.

We have to score, though, so don't get your hopes up.

According to Martin Samuel , if you don't count the Alonso header that hit the post against Arsenal ( statisticians don't ) then the last shot on target we registered was in the 63rd minute against Newcastle on the 12th January.

Mind you , when we do score they find a way to rule it out anyway.

Barkley's shot that hit Koscielny in the nads was on target (to clarify, it was going in), but they don't seem to count blocked shots.

If you count shots that hit the woodwork, we'd be 16 goals better off, and Alonso would have 7.
If you had a VAR that worked we'd be about level with City and Liverpool on 52 points.
If you had both, we'd be about 8 points clear.

We aren't actually playing that badly.

Nor are we playing that well!

Pedro putting in a cross for Kante in the box doesn't suggest we know what we are doing.
