You'd have a point if Sarri had picked CHO in the prem in January or even February.  But he waited till April.  Not much of a leap to think he knew where he was off to by April.

So Juve decided to hire Sarri before they were knocked out by Ajax in mid-April and not in May when they announced Allegri was leaving?

By the time Juve's UCL season ended against Ajax, CHO had already been featuring prominently in the first team - whether it was in the Europa League or the PL. Its very unlikely they chose to hire anyone until Allegri lost the tie to Ajax and even less likely that Sarri was their first choice until he lifted the Europa League.

At least that early I would imagine.  Remember all that talk about Grant staying if he won the CL final in 2008?  Turned out that Scolari was approached in February.

And indeed he started in the Community shield game in August 2018.  He'd had 3 starts and 3 sub appearances before 2018 finished, plus 2 pre-season starts.

I think it is appalling to suggest that CHO didn't break through on the basis of his own talent and performances.

Sorry - Just plain wrong.  Brave of you to say it, but clearly wrong.

Who is saying that?

The claim is that he was doing very well in training and the club maybe said as much to Sarri and asked him to include him more often.

Is that so unreasonable to believe or so ghastly to imagine that an employer might tell one of the company's managers that an employee is doing very well and to include them more often?

I dont think that dimishes Hudson-Odoi's work at all. Maybe its a reflection on Sarri but, even then, only a complete hypocrite would blame him or Conte or Jose or Ancelotti for not including younger players more in the first place given the nature of Chelsea football club.

No - the claim is that club insisted to Sarri that he must pick him.  Unless you want to talk about something else.  People at Cobham having private opinions and sometimes voicing them, is not a very interesting discussion point.

Sean Dyche is a c**t for saying that about CHO .. why is he trying to knock down an 18 year old.. we all know how difficult it is shake off a reputation.. piss poor from a wannabe sam allardyce

Good on Frank for highlighting how his big men were falling down and crying like children everytime they didn't win the ball... I think his pride was hurt on the relegation tactics that his team used and still got stuffed 4-2 and he just wanted to divert the attention..

Also the referee was very poor in not using the monitor before issuing a yellow card... its crazy how reluctant these refs are to use technology but are happy to make a mistake.. Its simple at that pace when you are running even a little shove can knock you off balance.. yes it may not be enough to give a penalty.. but a dive very questionable and only CHO knows... But the broader point is that unlike other sports .. say like cricket the refs/umpires still use technology in a run out situation even if the batsman is miles in .. these refs have too big an ego that is also showing up the ref..

Maybe they are worried that they lose their jobs as onfield refs 20/30 years down the line  to bots and tech.. who knows but use the technology that the FA spends millions implementing and training you on.. another sham another match!

Everyone knows out why he says the things he does, but they never include this in the reporting.

If the reports are true, hope the club throw the book at him. Idiot.

Just read. Even if the story is exaggerated, even if the model was a set up ... Still an idiot. Crappy PR, and surely puts his team mates and our season in jeopardy by not distancing.

I have a very clear line on this personally; not seeing an explicit allegation but if he has laid hands on her, get him out of the club. I'd say that of anyone.

"Laid hands" well I agree that is the issue,   But the Sun says "The model was taken to hospital after complaining of feeling unwell."

so that doesn't seem to be the case.  Frankly this is exactly what one might expect to happen when you give some young lad mega bucks a week.  And at least part of the story seems to have been fed to the press by the girl and neighbours  *
I feel sorry for CHO, my minimum expectations for his behaviour are pretty low other than keeping out of the press.  He should choose his methods and neighbours more carefully.

My only real surprise is that there are only a handful of PL players getting into trouble and half the cases are about playing footie in the park.

And if I wasn't already on CHO's side over thie:
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-8330463/Piers-Morgan-leads-calls-Chelsea-idiot-Callum-Hudson-Odoi-BANNED-breaking-lockdown.html

*  The reporting highlights my point elsewhere about Neil Ferguson.  Famous person gets caught shagging stories invariably come out through phone calls to the Sun hotline.  His story came out in a clearly well prepared briefing to that smut rag, the Daily Telegraph.  He was being pushed out by the government.

Also in the sun, it's not bad enough to have teenage stars on megabucks sitting around doing nothing, now we might have one called Bogarde.

Quote

In other news, Chelsea are reportedly confident of beating London rivals Tottenham in the race for Feyenoord's teenage sensation Lamare Bogarde.
