Jody Morris to also leave his role by all reports.

Wonder how many other staff members will follow suit.

Much worse things to get worked up about today, but why do you call her Granny?

No way I don't think.  That was just Frank saying goodbye.

Marina Granovskaia I presume

An up yours to the senior pros then.
The pro-Academy stance was always going to be a difficult route to run the job on.  Especially with Jody so close and the PR team pushing the Academy/Lampard story.
The irony is that Lampard has probably had less to do with putting young Academy players into the team than any manager, he has specialised in picking players proven in the Championship and playing on merit instead.
RLC got more support from JM than Gilmour has, and McEachran got even more from CA.

Apparently it was written by half a dozen of their journalists from bits and bobs of information they'd gleaned over the last year.

I think we can take it all with a pinch of salt but there are some disturbing trends within that appear to happen on a regular basis at the club .

Already published bits and bobs, yes.

I am the coach I do not buy the players

Ring a bell?

Of course the coach doesn't buy the players. This isn't football manager.

They certainly have a seat at the discussion table though.

That depends on how many new staff members arrive I guess.
Does Tuchel haver a team?  I guess JM replaced Poch's team so musical chairs suggests yes.
Benitez has a team we know.
I guess Sarri has his team still.

Redknapp talking rubbish as usual

Sounds absolutely accurate to me. Which comparison did you not understand? Was it the one with Solskjaer or Ferguson? Which part of having the wrong players imposed on him troubles you?

Just read the article. Couple of things spring to mind when reading it:

1) Granny is incredibly powerful. It sounds like you literally live and die by her opinions. This is something that I have inferred previously through snippets other players have said, but I have not seen it really laid out like this.

Man or woman - you should be judged on your results.

She has been an abject failure. The amount of money we have spent, the number of managers we have fired and the current state of the organization...

Her "leadership" has been pathetic and there is no accountability on her part. We have slipped tremendously down the table and in terms of standing in this league.

Of course ,

You wanted Abamayang , we've bought the next best thing Timo Werner , OK ? Er Yeah .

You know you wanted some quality in midfield and suggested Declan Rice , well , we've done better than that and got Havertz , his agent says he's brilliant , OK? ...rightyo .

Both Solskjaer and Ferguson followed 5 or 6 years of disappointing results (one good year apart for you know who).
Solskjaer introduced a system which is certainly paying benefits now.  Man U knew where their managers were going.  Chelsea know what good managers are like.
Lampard followed an up tick in 18/19 and a title in 16/17.  This year was an amazing opportunity.  Blown.

She really hasn't.  She has been a massive success at a club that till this season was running on a FFP basis.
Firing managers (and goalkeepers if necessary) is part of the process.

The coach's view should hold the most weight at the discussion table. The coach should be listened to.

It is run like that at MOST other clubs.

Disagree or not, and just an example, purchasing Kai Havertz instead of Declan Rice was a dumb move. And, whether you believe it or not, Aubameyang is looking like a far better call than Timo Werner.
