Bob Singleton Report post Posted July 12 Marc Guehi, Trevoh Chalobah, Dujon Stering, Conor Gallagher, Lewis Baker, Lucas Piazon, Izzy Brown and Ike Ugbo all back at Cobham. Ian Maatsen and Billy Gilmour will be discarded from the pre-season squad that will travel to Japan.

Bob Singleton Report post Posted July 12 25 minutes ago, Mark Kelly said: Shame , thought Maatsen and Gilmour did OK As the start of the season nears, so the squad slowly takes shape and numbers are reduced. Presume it was always the case that only 25 would travel to Japan. You have to wonder about the futures of Lewis Baker, Lucas Piazon and Izzy Brown. Time to sell, surely? Interesting Kasey Palmer is still ahead of many there. Think piazon must be out of contract soon, still would like to see what baker and brown have

Think piazon must be out of contract soon, still would like to see what baker and brown have 22, semi regular at Championship level. If you pick 2 players who could add numbers at AM where we are very short whilst being too old for the club to worry about their long term prospects it would be Palmer and Kenedy. Brown could be there but for last year's injuries which saw him play just once. Baker I'm rather shocked to discover is 24 now. Classic example of the gap between playing for Vitesse and playing in the Championship. Needs to move on, isn't an AM anyway.
hallgalley Report post Posted July 12 I didn’t think Baker was 24 either so you can imagine players being sold likely to be piazon baker Van Ginkel (doesn’t look like he will get a chance) hector Miazga and possibly one of Zouma/Tomori/JCS
My Blood Is Blue Report post Posted July 13 I had so much hope for Lewis Baker a few years ago, but for whatever reason, he just isn't quite up to the level I expected him to make it to. It's a shame.
