Crossing has been awful. Really why wing backs can’t work with Azpi and Alonso. Poor delivery all night.

Azpilicueta is past it now. Nothing against the man but he can’t put in the shift required either in a 3-4-3 or in a 4.

He’s fast approaching Ivanovic levels in terms of his regression unfortunately.

Barkley lol he is absolutely shameless. He should never be allowed to play for this club.

Never been Chels quality though he's not the sole reason for this loss tonight. At least he's mostly a bench player.

Wouldn’t be upset to never see Azpi or Barkley play for us again after that.

Think we would’ve won if Mount stayed on, Willian and Pedro is just too much of the old overplaying bollocks we’ve been guilty of over the last few years. Just hope he’s back for Sunday.

Emerson, Rudiger, James, RLC, Kante, CHO all missing, not been easy on Frank.

Well that was a disaster. Barklay should not have been anywhere near that penalty.

Doesn't take away from how poor we were. But you got to take your chances when they're given to you.

Pedro for Mount killed a lot of our game. He was absolutely awful. Forget the pen. We were wasteful all night. At this level you get punished. A lot of this lot will be on the bench when everyone is fit. I really hated the moment when they came up to Barkley before the pen and debated who was taking it. We should have a fixed pen takers. As good as Willian was he missed our best chance and probably screwed up two potential goals. End product will always be his downfall and the numbers don’t lie with Willian.

He actually is responsible for the loss tonight. We had a chance to salvage a point and he missed a penalty in the dying minutes.

It seemed so obvious from his face that he is going to miss it...

I have to say we played rather well, just couldn’t find that goal and one error has cost us.

Azpi’s legs are dead... (+woeful crossing and corners from willian and alonso)

Crystal clear penalty. Goalbound header and the defender holds his hand out in an unnatural position. Could only be one outcome really.

But boy has Ross Barkley made a fool of himself. Ridiculous to insist taking it. It was bleeding obvious he’d miss it.

As for the 343. We don’t create nearly enough playing this formation. Don’t like it at all. The goal we conceded was from a free kick and poor marking. Had nothing to with us moving away from a 3atb. Also clear how important Mount is for the energy of the team. Pedro and Willian is too much huff and puff and not enough end product.

Hopefully we’ll go back to the 433 at home to Liverpool with Rudiger, Kante, Emerson and Mount all ready to play. Hoping to see;

Arrizabalaga; Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Christensen, Emerson; Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic; Pulisic, Abraham, Mount

Nowhere near Ivanovo levels. Brana was a walking disaster for a good 12 months before being put of out his misery. Azpilicueta isn’t great, but far from being a disaster.
