£72k?  That is the top player for most PL teams.
Seems like a poor guess to me.

Alves is the highest paid player in Brazil (or was) on 4.2m euro a season, which is 80k euro a week (apparently, and according to Google)

OK, but I'm pretty sure Alves had a better season in Europe before he moved than Willian just did.  He had 11 caps for Brazil in the same year he moved.  Willian hasn't played for Brazil for 2 years.

I imagine he has got a very sizeable package from Arsenal, but my understanding is there's a decent amount of money in the Brazilian league and clubs there can and do pay good money.

As long as he does no stay in the UK for more than 89 days in a financial year starting 01-April-21 its going to be a tax free payment, so the lower wage in brazil could be deemed pocket money?

If that were true, we wouldn't be 100,000 HGV drivers short!

Yeah but that's before the deduction of costs relating to driving in and around central London.

Have we all.

Can you imagine how many yorkie bars you could buy a week earning that kind of money.

In fact you could by the company like victor kiam

I'm quite happy with a transit van.  as for Yorkie Bars, Yuk!  Bog standard chocolate.  Back to Willian, good luck to him in Brazil, he could easily have just done n Ozil or a Bogarde, picked up his obscene wages and not bothered.  I wish most other greedy, overpaid footballers would do the same, or do their agents tell them just to sit there and take the money?
