Quite.
I saw a graphic earlier that showed since 2015, we’ve lost 8/11 finals we’ve played in (incl Charity Shield/Supercups). So basically, since we lost Drogba et al, the culture in the team is that getting to finals and losing is ok.
We’ve played in four FA Cup Finals in five years, turned up in one, won it narrowly. Played badly in three others and lost all of them. The Supercup & League cup finals in 2019 we played quite well, but still lost.

We’ve developed a cultural problem. We seem to be ok with losing big games and possess an attitude of just needing to show up to beat struggling sides.
Our squads appear to think that not delivering and then posting “it’s disappointing to lose a final , but we go again” social media posts is enough (and seriously, the players can FO with that today after the way they played yesterday). It isn’t.

The senior players in this team don’t have the mentality or the determination to make us successful year after year, or guide the promising younger ones into the standards required for success and they aren’t being moved on for not delivering. Nothing will change until they’re replaced.
I think Frank knew it and that’s why some were clearly being pushed out. Tuchel is a good manager (even if I’ve definitely not enjoyed the football at times and he got the team wrong yesterday), but he’s hamstrung by the players here. And I think he’ll struggle to get much more out of this group without some key personnel being added.

I’m fully expecting the next two weeks to go badly. No top four and we’ll lose the CL final. The players seem to think that is ok, so maybe that’s just how it’ll be now at the club. The only vague hope is that Roman will be fed up with failure and we’ll get rid of four or five players that have been here a good while and replace them with some that have a bit of appetite.  Unfortunately, we all know it’s more likely to be “bye-bye Thomas” though.

We are definitely a bit wimpy these days. Since Sarri we have definitely resembled Wenger's Arse in a lot of ways. Lots of lightweight players, who want to play pretty football and put up as much resistance as a wet paper bag when the pressure is on. The 8/11 loss rate in finals is pretty shocking; even if I was kind of aware of it.

As for the squad, we really need to bulk it up a bit in regards to its physical size. I was saying the other day, all our CM's are funsized. Why are we virtually the only top side in Europe with no physically imposing CM? Then there is the forward line, which is also lightweight. Ok, Kai and Tammy are 6'2/3,  but they're built like bean stalks. Giroud is really the only one built like you would want a No.9 in the PL and he is off as it is in the Summer.

There is quite a bit of potential in the squad but we need to sort out how wimpy we are. I reckon if you weighed our first 18 we would have to be in the bottom quarter of the league.

Agree with all of this, but in fairness to Wenger’s Arsenal, they generally did have the potential to play aggressive, fast, exhilarating, high octane football at various points in the season. Risk sure, but when it clicked, it was brilliant.
The speed of our build up a lot of the time would make a tortoise look like Usain Bolt.

Kanté aside (and he doesn’t pose a goal threat), have we really got anyone that possesses energy and vibrancy to get everyone going? Or drags the team along with them? I don’t think we have anyone that does anything like that with any regularity. Mount tries, but even he’s been missing sitters of late. Hopefully one or two of the newer players can play up to a live crowd when we have fuller stadiums, but I’m more inclined to think they’ll be shirking the fans rather than making them love what they’re doing.

The problem is , if you dare complain about the bias to a media outlet you get laughed at and they deny it even though it's blatant .

Quite often in the past I've pointed out the evidence and been accused of paranoia on these pages .

Over the last few days we've seen:

A fudging of the handball law that cost us a goal

The disallowing of an equaliser in a game we'd dominated for a marginal offside where the VAR lines were not straight .

Our nemesis Liverpool handed a free kick by a Liverpudlian referee when it should have been a drop ball from which they scored the equaliser .

WBA scoring a legitimate winning goal and the Liverpudlian referee ruling it offside for interfering with play by blocking the view of a goalkeeper static on his line from 6 feet away .

The scoring of a winning goal by the Liverpool keeper after play was held up to allow him to saunter up field and the kick was taken even though time was up as the Liverpudlian referee didn't blow up on time .

Now in a game that we have to win to stop Liverpool winning we are given the same Liverpudlian referee despite clearly being at best inept or at worst corrupt . To top it off VAR that day will be being operated by the referee who completely missed the hand to ball handball for us in the previous game leading to us being denied a penalty that would have equalised against a side who'd had one shot on target all game , leading to Tuchel ambushing the said ref as he tried to leave the ground gesticulating at his hand and mining hand to ball movements , I bet he can't wait to right a wrong .

Being paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you .

The pic you showed had yellow and blue lines.  The blue lines were parallel if printed on paper.  The yellow lines weren't.  But if you need to adjust for the effect of perspective, with distances on the far side of the pitch being shorter in print version than distances on the near side.  I reckon the yellow lines were accurate and the blue ones misleading.  I meant to comment on this at the time.

We had a very good run for a couple of seasons or more until the last few weeks with a lot of decisions seeming to go our way.  If they are going against us now, at least we know that we are threatening to win stuff!

Patently untrue.

It has been a constant, bar one or two memorable decisions (Memorable to the media, oppo fans and PGMOL).

At first when VAR came in I was glad, no more getting fked over by refs. No more Barcelona 09, or Rio kicking J.Cole in the head in the final in 08. If people haven't seen that one, that was a 99% penalty at 88 min or so.

But someone here warned us all how they will use VAR. Its another tool against us, and with so many bad decisions against us I can't just believe anything other than there is a small agenda against us. How come the rules are so clear, still we have Leicester goal who stood. Werner offside against pool when the frame used here and yesterday was totaly wrong.

We are not as good as we were, no mentality and determination but cmon, can we please get a fair shot from the ref? not this 60-50 favouring the oppo all the time.

It makes me wanna quit football...

Sorry this is nuts.
It has been pretty good since Conte and not so bad under Conte.  I'm happy to equate that with us not being a threat, but to say we have been hard done by in any season since is just untrue
Over the past 20 years I have been one of the biggest conspiracy theorists about refs out to get us.

A lot changed after the Clattenburg Spurs game.  I'm pretty sure a lot happened behind the scenes that we will never be told about.  Not just him suddenly retiring early.

Ask Ziyech what he things about refs and Chelsea!
