dooder12 Report post Posted April 13, 2006 http://www.chelseafc.com/article.asp?hlid=...sub=latest+newsChelsea Reserves defeated Crystal Palace Reserves 1-0. A lot of 16 and 17 year-olds were on display today, and they had a tough time dealing with Palace, especially in the second half. There was a debut for 16 year-old right back Sam Hutchinson. hanuma Report post Posted April 13, 2006 Exactly...it was one rumour on Skysports which entailed some of the worst presumptuous journalism of the season.
hanuma Report post Posted April 13, 2006 Jack Cork did excellently against Crystal Palace. He looked very composed, very strong in the upper body, kept possession excellently and read the game well; especially for a 16 year old.
grantdesmidt11 Report post Posted April 13, 2006 I downloaded an interview with Mancienne and Jimmy Smith off Chelsea TV online, and both are (were) hoping for us to wrap up the league early so that they could get their premiership debuts in much the same way as Morais, Watt and Grant did last season. Sadly for them, it does not look likely now. Hopefully Spurs can beat Utd, and we win our next two games. Then we will be champions on Easter Monday. If would be great to give some of the young talent a few minutes this season, and seeing as Smith and Mancienne are aiming for this, Mourinho must have made it clear that it is a possibility. From yesterday's reserve game, only Pidgeley and Younghusband are too old to be playing youth team. So the future of this club looks to be in good hands, with or without Roman.
