  1. http://www.saynocpo.org/faq/ I’ve already voted by sending in my proxy form, but now I want to change my mind and vote No. How do I do this? You need to get hold of another proxy form (simply print off the proxy form here) and complete the new form with an ‘X’ against each of the 6 resolutions, under ‘Against’. Then do as follows: 1. Let us know by emailing us with your name and number of shares at [email protected] 2. Mark the top of your new proxy form to show clearly that this is a new vote and replaces your previous proxy. 3. Complete and mail in your new proxy form following steps A-D listed on the voting page.
  2. Didier Drogba

And booked Zola for sweet F.A in the second half, just outside the box I believe.
  3. Didier Drogba

This article in todays Sun is a good read IMO. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport...rshal-Tito.html
  4. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

Yeah he phoned me after to say he'd met you. It's actually Stamford Bridge they said they might move the reserves to at that Fans Forum.
  5. John Terry

I'm not saying I don't believe JT's assurances reasons, but there must be an element of him wanting a new improved deal based on what he can get else where. I don't see the problem with this, and as if he'd come out and admit it anyway, I doubt he'd even admit it to teamates so any speculation in the press will always be just that, speculation. And in a world of greed, everyone will rightfully or wrongfully attribute it to greed, and not accept any other reasonings. JT will always be a legend, and is currently be the man that captained us to our most sucessful period in 104 years, and nothing can damage that, hence I brought the JT Captain, Leader, Legend banner with me to Baltimore for the AC Milan match (The only one I could afford to do). Before the match was outside the players hotel as they boarded the coach, Lamps walked straight on, JT spent ages signing autographs. I started a John Terry chant which didn't catch on, followed by a One England Captain chant where JT glanced up at me whilst signing stuff, again no one joined in, they instead started a very American 'Terry, Terry, Terry' chant instead. JT got on the coach and sat next to the window, so I unravelled the JT banner on the pavement, and a few of us held it up, I kept pounding the Chelsea badge on my shirt and pointing at him, and he stuck his thumb up. Some bald guy in a Chelsea training top came up to me holding two tickets out for me, so I told him I already had a ticket, the person next to me (who had been more on the ball then me) called me an idiot and then I watched in disbelief as he walked back on the coach and handed the tickets back to Terry. So I walked up to the window, gestured to JT I already had a ticket but thanks anyway, and he stuck his thumb up again. I also got out the Lamps banner which a few of us held up, and Frankie stuck his thumb up when he saw it.

That banner is currently with me and will be hung in Baltimore. Just like I can't blame Fred the Shred Goodwin for wanting full whack, I would be a hypocrite if I did with JT. Steve Kutner said Lamps wanted parity with Crespo and Veron, JT wants it with what he can get elsewhere. Mr Chelsea is tarnished, but his reputation never will be. He gives a **** about this club as much as the rest of us.
  7. New Kits

Agreed, much better then the new home shirt for sure. It's again for only one season though so I'm still not going to buy it.
  8. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

I was in my last year of uni last year so never saw the reserves, so I can't speak of Magney or Taylor much, Magney was great on Monday though, he wasn't getting beaten, he effectively played the second half as a wing back as they offered very little, and he looked very commanding. Saw the match against Aldershot the other month and I wasn't impressed with him that day, but as I say Monday he looked class. As for Taylor based on Monday night I agree, there was a couple of times when he didn't meet the ball, and with that little attendance I expect to hear him shouting a bit. He really didn't seem confident or in control I didn't think.

Good game, I felt we were all over then, Freddie Sears looked massively ordinary, not suprised since scoring for the first team he's not featured much. Woods needs to grow up, not sure if the camera's picked it up but the ref called him and their 17 over because for a good few minutes the two of them had been getting at each other, the other guy hadn't done much wrong when Woods reacted once the ball was played. Magnay was superb, easily MOTM for me. Sinclair wasn't really getting involved he seemed to be a bit of an onlooker at times out wide, other then a good save in the first half I don't remember Rhys Taylor having much to do. The whole defence was quality, we didn't break down their defence much though I didn't think most of Stoch's shots were long rangers, same with Mellis barring the aforementioned run. Good match from our perspective I'd say, the lads played well.
  10. John Terry

Not sure if Jerry Kendik or Homerdaz have asked in the past but it's something I'd also thought about recently, not sure they'd want to give us access to an inside store cupboard but it is something I could bring up. I need to speak to Chris Gleeson (Facilities Manager) anyway as he is looking at putting hooks in the bottom of the sponsor boards to stop the banners blowing up (can't use weights due to health and safety).
  11. John Terry

They are still brought in every game.
  12. John Terry

If it's not too much trouble it would be good if you upload them I wouldn't mind seeing all the different ones. Carls posted a couple in the Club Shed forum in my thread about it. Yeah mate it is, I'm amazed I still fit into it, haven't worn it since that season. Don't agree with buying the new one as it's only for a season, and that one looks enough like it.
  13. John Terry

It seems a lot of people missed John Terry's reaction from the halfway line, he turned slightly to the MH stand and gave it the old 50/50 'not sure I should' hand gesture, (Hard I can explain it, open palm, horizontal, shaking it slightly). Was great to see him take it so well. Cheers for all the feedback on the banner, glad it was so well received and that Sky and Setanta picked it up.
  14. New Kits

I'm not buying it, I just don't see why we need to change it every year. Having said that if we win in Moscow I would buy a commorative one mind. Does look quite nice though.
  15. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

ChelC, as you say that offside would be a pretty shoddy highlight, it was hard to tell whether it was offside although like the commentators said at the time, the guy that got the ball looked onside it was his team-mate who was offside. Decent highlights though, I can't really think of any other chances I'd have added. On a side note, Fabio Ferreira looks a little bit like Michael Ballack, only skinnier.
  16. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

Second half around the 55th minute I think. Twice in the first half he won a corner or free kick from balls he had no right to get, that one for the free kick was incredible how the Derby player trotted back to see it off and Di Santo sprinted and forced him to make a foul, although personally I think a foul was a little harsh! I haven't seen any of the other games he's played in, I'm at uni most of the time so barely get to watch the matches as I've no Chelsea TV, but am at home right now so finally got to watch one, first reserve match I've watched all season.
  17. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

When he tried the old one leg crossing over the other to kick the ball and ended up on his arse. Which is what Di Santo did from that cross except we also lost the throw and personally I don't think there was any need for him to try it, other then he was feeling flash. This clip
  18. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

Nice write up ChelC. I think you should have brought to light Di Santo's attempted cross where he did a David Dunn though. Ferreira should have had a goal in the first half I don't see how he blasted it over. I think you're a little harsh on Searle given the state of the pitch and just how many times we played the ball back to him, the first 15 minutes especially were a joke we just kept rolling it back to him. Smith was solid when they threatened, I didn't realise they've converted him from a striker to a defender but he looked good there. I liked Cummings movement down the line, he's not afraid to push up and I'm not sure what his cross is like but he could be a good attacking full back. Personally I thought our set piece delivery could have ben better, especially in the first half they seemed to be massively overhit, even the corners we got on the end of drifted too high I thought, need to aim more for the penalty area. Definitely would have wagered it being 0-0 after an hour, a fairly poor game and it was hard to see either side scoring.
  19. Michael Essien

Essien is still brilliant, Barnsley he was given the holding role and that's not where he plays. I admit before the ACN he wasn't the same player, but then he got a lot of stick back home for missing the previous ACN so I think physcologically he didn't want to feel he'd let his country down again by getting injured. When Ballack plays it seems they don't have an understanding, Essien is too keen to push up ahead of him and let Ballack stay back, yet it should be the other way around, I'd personally somewhat pin it down to lack of direction from Average Grant. Easily one of our most committed players and he should be a first team regular in the centre of midfield no question. Probably my favourite player.
  20. Michael Essien

On the surface yes it would, but it's not that simple. Benjani has paid the debt Zimbabwe owed on an electricity bill and I think he paid off another debt too, but all it does is make them assume they will be bailed out. They get foreign aid and then what happens to it is anyones guess, there's a book by a guy called Robert Calderisi about this sort of thing and is worth a read, he worked for the World Bank and spent alot of time in Africa so is clued up on the subject. They recieve enough money without getting extra from those who have done well despite difficulut circumstances. Drogba getting involved in helping stop the Ivory Coast civil war was a worthwhile contribution, giving more money isn't.
  21. Michael Essien

Thats more assumptions and borderline stereotyping then philosophical rubbish. How many Ghanaians do you know who spend their money on drugs and women? They need to be able to get into another country though, they are limited in choice and can't just move because Michael Essien can afford to buy them a house. No, by definition of the Western world he is not a good man, by definition of a Ghanaian living in a rural village he is an ordinary man, polygamy is very common in rural Ghana and many have multiple wives. I agree his reasons for not doing so are his own business, personally from reading that I don't think it's to do with the amount of wives he had, as surely she is as much in the wrong for marrying someone with many wives and expecting him to give them up. The best I'd hazard a guess at from that is his mum influenced him that his fathers a bad man but it's unrelated to the wives. I was in Ghana in the summer for six weeks, when I travelled up north I visited a witches camp. Basically they chuck witches from Ghana, Togo and Burkina Faso into this camp. As a westerner you can't even begin to grasp their logic of thinking, a true example is that if one of the mans wives dies, or if the man becomes impotent, it is assumed to have been witchcraft from one of the other wives. So the chief of the village catches a live chicken, kills it, gets the rest of the wives in a circle, and throws the chicken in the air, whichever one it's head points at is assumed to be the witch, and therefore banished to the witch camp. They don't complain either, because if it happened to someone else they would believe that that persons a witch, so therefore they must accept the punishment. He got caught (but was later cleared) or drinking driving, if he does drink it appears he manages to contain himself and not bring attention to it.

If there's one thing that us and the Liverpool fans are going to agree on on here, it's Kelvin Mackenzie is a moron.
  23. John Terry

A mate of mine was there, he said his reason and he suspects others too is that everyone knows Martin Johnsen actually watches NFL, Terry doesn't (or if he does has never made this known) so he shouldn't have been there. He admits his answer is flawed as Lewis Hamilton has never claimed to watch NFL, but he came 2nd and doesn't do anything to annoy anyone.
  24. John Terry

Terry has nothing to explain anyway. As people have said, any arguement will be because of their passion for the club, because they care, I'm sure Terry was just as gutted as the rest of them, good to see he has made every effort on the pitch to show the team spirit. Was good to see Terry make a point of clapping our fans at Hull everytime we sung his name during the match, and then throwing his shirt in the crowd afterwards.
  25. John Terry

We've both got Champions League winners at the helm, will be some good games. On current form I'm not overly confident. My brothers going down the box office by 6am tomorrow to get the tickets for the match, your pitch looks literally int he middle of nowhere. You lot are somewhat local to us so do look out for your results was a shame about the other season when you did great until Gorman's wife died.
