£25m I'm hearing , I'd like to see him get a chance with us first to be honest especially given the state of our forwards
  3. Official: Chelsea Sign Christian Pulisic

I agree with this , there really aren't many players with the raw ability that Pulisic has out there , don't overplay him , play him in his favoured position and we most definitely have a player on our hands , we'd only replace him with Traore or someone equally as pitiful anyway.

We know Lukaku likes a moan , there's rumblings Pulisic wants out and the part of the article I could access says that the attackers are tired of the brutal way TT speaks to them when they do something wrong. I have to be honest here and say quite often they deserve every criticism he can aim at them , the lot of them are appalling in front of goal , so bad that it's almost impossible to stand up for them in this situation , they deserve every criticism he chucks at them in my opinion . I like Werner , he's an honest hard working lad but recently he had a shot on goal and before taking it he changed his body shape to face between the outside of the far post and the corner flag , guess where the shot went? If you're Tuchel it must drive you mental as you see the league ebbing away in front of your eyes,
  5. Sorry , should have made it clearer , not my words it was cut and pasted from planet football . My aim was really to show that scoring regularly in Italy doesn't necessarily mean you're a great striker . Tammy appears to be comparable to Lukaku . Both not great by any stretch of the imagination , I'm particularly disappointed with Tammy as I had high hopes .
  6. It doesn't matter if he scores it's the way he moves the lumpen form that means he'll never be considered World Class .
  7. Official: Chelsea Sign Christian Pulisic

I'm hoping that now everyone else is starting to regain fitness we go with the 4-1-4-1 which appeared to get the best out of CHO , Mount , Ziyech and to a lesser degree Lukaku There is a place for Pulisic covering for CHO and Ziyech and possibly Mount in that system so I'm hopeful we'll see some more good games as he's certainly got it in him .
  8. Official: Chelsea Sign Christian Pulisic

I think he has potential , whether he trusts his body to let loose the shackles and fulfil that potential is the question . On his day he's fantastic but we haven't been treated to many of those recently which I presume is a fitness issue once more.
  9. VAR and Chelsea

Add to that the fact that we know SKY can hear the feed and it wouldn't surprise me one iota if Stockley park can hear Alan Smith telling them that Arsenal and Leicester were onside or Jamie Carragher foaming at the mouth because the ref thinks a two footed challenge throat high is dangerous play by Henderson
  10. It's been a fantastic redemption arc , he's still not perfect but he's made some top saves and more importantly has a bit more belief in himself , I think it's wonderful to see him improving myself .
  11. Media / Press

Magical Irony alert in the Daily Mail this morning from professional mentalist Chris "can't score won't score" Sutton who made Lukaku look like Maradona Who's been the biggest disappointment? SUTTON: Lukaku. I thought he'd be the difference and that Chelsea would be this season's title front-runners thanks to his goals but that hasn't happened. He has only scored twice in the Premier League since September and instead brought heat on his manager Thomas Tuchel after that unsolicited interview. So he's my disappointment of the season.
  12. Chelsea 2 Tottenham Hotspur 0

Considering we went into the game with a cloud hanging over us I thought it was a tremendous performance , possibly CHO and Ziyech's best ever games for us both were superb and as you say we were not in anyway passive we went for it with aggression and managed the tempo perfectly .
  13. VAR and Chelsea

The most annoying thing for me is the selective use of VAR , what exactly are the rules here , why was the "Thiago Silva , Harry Kane" incident reviewed by VAR but the "Cesar Azpillicueta , Tottenham defender" wasn't (and that was as clear a penalty offence as you'll ever see) How is Mike Dean able to blow his whistle before Mason Mount's shot crosses the goal line when he's clearly won the ball fairly and get away with it ? The only answer I can come up with is either because we are the baddies and the narrative of the Premier League needing to be seen to be competitive and wanting a race for fourth place and us to be caught in it.
  14. Romelu Lukaku’s arrival back in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge in the summer prompted Chelsea to sell Tammy Abraham to Roma to make way for the Belgian. Both spent some or all of their teenage years at Chelsea, with Abraham earning his place in the first team under Frank Lampard while Lukaku originally moved away in 2014 for game time. Chelsea felt Romelu Lukaku, fresh off of firing Inter Milan to the Serie A title, would be the final piece of the puzzle that would turn the Blues into veritable title contenders and Abraham’s £34million departure to Roma was a vital part of making that happen. But Chelsea’s title challenge has faltered in recent months, while Abraham has gone from strength to strength in the Serie A and earned back his spot in the England national team set-up to boot. He has also just broken the record for the most Serie A goals scored by an Englishman in one season in its modern history, thriving under Jose Mourinho at the Stadio Olimpico to become one of Italy’s most dangerous strikers. Meanwhile, Lukaku caused controversy when he opened up in an interview on his regrets about leaving Inter in the summer, only departing because of Inter’s financial issues and Antonio Conte’s departure. He has since apologised, but it has been far from the happy return that was expected considering that he cost the club around £100million to prise from Inter. He has struggled to gel in Tuchel’s tactical system and it has prompted some to question why Chelsea made the decision to let Abraham go. That is especially the case considering they insisted on a buy-back clause being included in the Roma deal which is rumoured to be at around £68million, double what they were paid for him. So how do Lukaku’s stats in the Premier League compare to Abraham’s in the Serie A? We’ve looked at their numbers from the 2021-22 Premier League and Serie A campaigns to find out. Note: stats are from WhoScored, other than expected goals and expected assists, which are provided from Understat. I honestly believe our scouting is done via DVD's and agents agitating to move their players for a pay day coupled with the old , they were great against us , route. Ward Prowse has magical delivery even if he's a bit slow he'd be worth signing , Raphina looks great , O'Neill looks a good buy , Cucurella was excellent the other night , wouldn't touch Traore with a barge pole though!
  16. Do you think they'd swap him for Rice ? PS Just in case you missed it , I think he's woeful.
  17. What annoyed me most yesterday was the beautiful cross Ziyech delivered from the left flank that went out for a corner , the commentator said it was great defending but Lukaku was a close to get on the end of it as I am now . He's next to useless but we're pleased because in one game this season he hasn't looked a completely leaden footed clown as normal. He simply isn't the striker this club and these players need .
  18. Transfer Talk Topic

One for the future as we are bereft of left backs in the club apparently . He has a few games under his belt for Derby so could well come in handy .
  19. Chelsea 2 Tottenham Hotspur 0

I think in this game we saw a few things we've been speaking about proven , the 4-1-4-1 got the best out of Ziyech , Mount and CHO , exposed Jorginho's lack of pace (even though he generally had a very good game , it is what it is) and afforded more goal scoring opportunities for Lukaku , even though he fluffed them all naturally . I think this may be the way forward
  20. Chelsea 2 Tottenham Hotspur 0

    Apparently they're after Calvert-Lewin
  21. VAR and Chelsea

It was Craig Pawson , possibly the worst referee there has ever been , apparently the day before he officiated in the Everton Villa game and Pickford took out Olly Watkins and he never gave a penalty for that , the Villa supporters are livid that he can officiate two games completely differently , they're saying the only difference was "Liverpool" which is another thing I've been bleating on about for ages , their games are officiated differently than our games , in fact our games are officiated differently than anyone else's as far as I can see.
  22. VAR and Chelsea

I've been saying as much for years , the Premier League and Sky/BT want to sell the English Premier League as the greatest show on earth , you cannot do that without an element of competition and if it isn't there you lean on the referees and VAR to invent some . They can't be having City romping home from January so expect Liverpool to get even more 70/30 calls go their way until they are in touching distance of City , if they can also get a sub race going on for fourth place they'll fiddle that too.
  23. Chelsea 2 Tottenham Hotspur 0

    He won't last then.
  24. Chelsea 2 Tottenham Hotspur 0

Lovely post match interview with Ziyech , a happier , smiling Ziyech who explained beautifully why he didn't celebrate his Brighton goal and why today was different . Well done .
  25. Chelsea 2 Tottenham Hotspur 0

Oh , we're due one absolutely and I agree it was a foul but still risky from Silva who made a five course meal out of it , but when Liverpool get a VAR penalty when Palace are on top to kill the game when Jota attacked the Palace keeper , I'm taking it all day long .
