    Swansea 1 (Dyer) Chelsea 2 (Willian, Eto'o)
  2. PSG 3 Chelsea 1

    Hardly!
  3. PSG 3 Chelsea 1

If I were you I would quit counting chickens before they are hatched. Your guys are used to playing French leftover defenders who couldn't make it abroad methinks.
  4. PSG 1 (Cavanni) Chelsea 1 (Hazard)
  5. Frank Lampard's last season with the club can see him eclipse Bobby Tambling's 43 year old Chelsea goal scoring record of 202 careeer goals for this club. Such a feat would be simply outstanding. Whilst acknowledging that players play more games nowadays and that both fitness and medical provision are vastly superior to what they were a half century ago, the fact that Frank has always played in midfield, and not as a striker, is sensational. Frank is a Chelsea legend, in the true sense. We can do our part to help him reach and pass the record by our continued efforts to cheer and encourage him on to the record at every game he plays in during 2013. Frank deserves the record and we deserve to be able to crown him as our best ever goal scorer and, to put it simply, to acknowledge him as one of the finest box-to-box midfielders ever to have graced the English game. The stats currently are (after Southampton away in the FA Cup 3rd Round) : All-time top goalscorers - Competitive, professional matches only 1 Bobby Tambling 1959–1970 202 2 Kerry Dixon 1983–1992 193 2 Frank Lampard 2001–2013 193 4 Didier Drogba 2004–2012 157 5 Roy Bentley 1948–1956 150 5 Peter Osgood 1964–1974 & 1978–1979 150 Note re Appearances : Frank is also in line to take over 3rd place in the all time appearances stakes this season. Competitive, professional matches only 1 Ron Harris 1961–1980 795 2 Peter Bonetti 1959–1979 729 3 John Hollins 1963–1975 & 1983–1984 593 4 Frank Lampard 2001–2013 577 5 John Terry 1998– ? 557 6 Dennis Wise 1990–2001 445 7 Steve Clarke 1987–1998 421 8 Kerry Dixon 1983–1992 420 9 Eddie McCreadie 1962–1974 410 10 John Bumstead 1976–1991 409 I invite others to update the goal scoring stat with a fresh post each time Frank finds the net.

  7. What Type Of Striker Should We Sign And Why

Not Balotelli, please. And anyway, how many goals will you get out of him in the games he's not suspended for? Fifteen a season...what good is that?

  9. Frank Lampard Breaks Chelsea's All Time Scoring Record (#210)

Apparently not but Frank has been given the goal in Wikipedia, which is usually right on this
  10. Wasn't over the moon with the "specialist in failure" comment, however.......Wenger certainly has become just that through eight barren years being accepted by himself, by Arsenal FC and by the media generally. And Jose is right, would Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea or Man City accept having eight consecutive trophy-less years from any manager? Of course not. Then why is it accepted at Arsenal? Why has the selling of their best players (Van Persie, Fabregas, Nasri etc) become the norm there? Plain and simple Mr. Talk-All-Night above. Because Arsenal is owned by men for whom the main priority is not losing money. As long as that goal is achieved, what happens on the pitch is ultimately irrelevant. And their fans, though secretly hating the fact, know it to be true and put up with it.
  11. Andre Schurrle

No idea why Schurrle not getting a look in. Better than Salah anyway.

  13. Forecast The Result : West Bromwich V Chelsea Feb 11th

WBA 0 Chelsea 3 (Hazard, Eto, Oscar)
  14. Manchester City 0 - 1 Chelsea

Great result which I didn't expect. And the performance was awesome. We won almost every header and chased everything.
  15. Josh Mc Eachran

Just thought I'd throw this out there for discussion. I know he's very young still (born 1 March 1993). But each time he comes on, it seems to me that he starts to take control of the midfield in a natrural way. It also seems to me that he makes the right decision time and again with his distribution - he keeps it simple most of the time but thinks of throwing in the odd killer ball every now and again that can split defences. For someone of his age, this is very encouraging. Most of the youngsters we've tried in the first team in the last five years have struggled to make an impact, but I don't think he struggles at all. I think he fits right in. His first mistake so far was getting robbed by Reo Coker yesterday. But that's ok. He'll learn from that one. I really like the look of him plus he's been with the club for nearly ten years, as I was corrected recently - thank you Michael :) Could he be our first real home grown breakthrough since JT? I think he could. It also bodes well for the future of the English midfield that in six years time, you could have Wilshere and McEachran operating.
  16. John Terry

I'm pretty sure JT will take the one year rolling extension.
  17. Michael Essien

I'll never forget his goal against Arsenal, plus many other performances in those first two seasons. I think injuries took their toll.
  18. Official: Juan Mata Leaves For Man United

    I'll go with that!
  19. Official: Juan Mata Leaves For Man United

The king is dead, long live the king (whoever that is!)
  20. Official: Juan Mata Leaves For Man United

Can't really believe we're selling him to United, but there you have it. Why on earth would we accept strengthening them for next season? Jose better have a very good plan....
  21. Transfer Talk Topic

It would be great if we could get a confident forward from somewhere.
  22. César Azpilicueta

Cesar showing what a good player he is at either left or right back. We're lucky to have him.
  23. Willian

Yes, you will get slaughtered, no doubt. Willian has 100% flattered to deceive since he's been with us. I wouldn't even call him an impact sub as he's made such little impact.
  24. 2013/14 Managerial Sack Race

He had Jose's confidence without Jose's ability. Unfortunately for Spurs (though hilarious to the rest of us), they are probably permanently doomed to be a bridesmaid in the Premier League. Many, many years since they were a top team, it gives me no pain to say. :)

Saw Enders Game last night. Pretty good!
