  1. John Terry

Didn't he still have three years on his previous deal? Hardly surprising news, I would imagine its been agreed since he gave a statement "reaffirming his commitment" last month.

Yes I think all that stuff is without Bernard Butler, and although still lyrically good lacks the edge of the earlier stuff. Butlers plays on the first two albums, Suede and Dog Man Star. Metal Mickey, Animal Nitrate, The Drowners, So Young were the singles off Suede and I think are probably 4 of their best songs.
  3. Musical Tastes

today I've mostly been listening to: The Bluetones, Suede, The Sundays
  4. Non Chelsea: Premier League

You could argue that Liverpool have the best keeper in the league, the best central midfield and the best centre forward. I think in all cases its a toss up between there's and ours. However apart from Reina, Mascherano, Gerrard and Torres, their first team squad are made up of good premier league players but not world beaters like Carragher, Skrtel, Agger and Reira and average players like Kuyt, Lucas, Voronin and Benayoun. The vast majority of whom wouldn't make our bench.

Surely you know what its like to be an awkward teenage boy staring at girls you'll never talk to
  6. Musical Tastes

talking of Johnny Marr, I quite like the new Cribs single, although its not as immeadiate as stuff like Mirror Kissers.
  7. Musical Tastes

Today I've been listening to The Bluetones, Sleeper, Oh No Oh My, Ian Brown and Blur.

They were no East 17 though...
  10. Musical Tastes

Some of the stuff he prouduced for Talib Kweli was good
  11. Musical Tastes

I think you just missed Ronan's indie faze mate, the album of Moldy Peaches covers he did for Rough Trade was immense.
  12. Musical Tastes

For me Ronan's Magnum Opus was his cover of "Word's" by the BeeGee's whilst in Boyzone, although their treatment of the Billy Ocean number "When The Going Gets Tough" is also up there.
  13. Musical Tastes

It'll never reach the heights of the one that goes life is a rollercoaster you've just got to ride it though...
  14. Musical Tastes

To qualify my Muse statement its not in the same league as stuff like Joe Satriani and Steve Vai, but it is unnecessarily over blown, the geezer is a massive bell end but "oh they're amazing live" I don't want to see ****ing balloons and fireworks and pomp and ceremony. and RE: Louder than Ritalin - Au Revoir Simone - good shout mate, big fan. Really like Fever to Tell and the EP that came out before it but haven't really got into the last Yeah Yeah Yeahs albums as much and Oxygen by Willy Mason is also a tune :)
  15. Musical Tastes

No time at all for Muse, its like porno for guitarists. This week I've been mostly listening to: Bright Eyes, Death Cab for Cutie, Tilly and the Wall, Emmy the Great, The Smiths, The Maccabees, Good Shoes and the first Nas album. Going to see Laura Marling next week, can't wait.
