We pocket a nice 15 Million due to a clause when we sold Hazard. Well done Marina.
  2. Roman Abramovich and Chelsea FC : Sanctions Premier league have approved deal. As RA had a Portuguese passport some final checks abroad seem to be the last bit of business.

Not at all. I don't recall this at the time but one report quotes Maurizio Sarr when he was manager. Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri said of the Dane in 2019: 'You know very well that Christensen on matchdays always has stomach ache. 'I don't know the reason but he is always very nervous. I don't know what to say.'

From the Telegraph Todd Boehly has completed Premier league background checks and a deal can be signed off within a matter of days of striking an agreement. Boehly remains on track to secure the takeover, with the priority now signing an agreement during exclusive talks. Chelsea sale could be smoothed by 'Brexit-style backstop' to solve loan impasse. The agreement would see ministers and Roman Abramovich put aside dispute over £1.6bn in loans to complete sale and secure club's future. Government will prioritise pushing the Russian to write off the loans as promised, but there is also a willingness to eventually discuss an appendix to the club licence to stop it going under. A backstop - like that agreed with the EU to stop a customs border with Ireland - would see ministers and Abramovich sideline their current feud to allow the sale to complete. The potential solution has yet to be discussed with Abramovich, but his camp had already been confident a deal can still be completed, despite a tumultuous 24 hours in which he had appeared to renege on a promise. All 3 defenders go to the man on the ball leaving Erickson all alone.

Chelsea: Mendy, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Thiago Silva, Alonso, Loftus-Cheek, Kante, Mount, Ziyech, Havertz, Werner. Subs: Arrizabalaga, Christensen, Jorginho, Kovacic, Lukaku, Saul, Barkley, James, Sarr. 433 or 4231 I guess.

This is from a Guardian article today. Haven't seen or heard it mentioned anywhere else. The government made minor amendments to Chelsea’s licence on Saturday. The European champions can now spend up to £900,000 on matchday costs – increased from £500,000 – and will have access to prize money earned. Restrictions on selling tickets and the club’s travel budget, capped at £20,000 for away games, have not yet been amended.

Great start but we lost control until we regained it in the second half. Kante brilliant, back to his best - bursting runs from midfield and interceptions. Silva immense. Not Rudiger's best game. Three early chances for Kai, with him taking the last one. Shame about the Injuries. Suspect the pair will miss Sunday sadly. Expect Mount to feature.
