CarefreeMuratcan Report post Posted May 9, 2021 (edited) https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2021/04/23/general-admission-season-ticket-and-matchday-pricing-frozen?cardIndex=0-2 "Rail seating installed A further upgrade to Stamford Bridge that we are pleased to announce is the installation of rail seating in the Matthew Harding Lower and Shed End Upper and Lower tiers. This change, which will be ready for the 2021/22 season subject to approval by the Sports Ground Safety Authority (SGSA) and its Safety Advisory Group (SAG), will enhance supporter safety by replacing the current seats in those sections of the stadium. The decision is the result of many months of consultation with the SGSA and Hammersmith and Fulham Council, as well as work with independent architects to find the optimum solution for Stamford Bridge. While the change will result in a loss of just over 500 seats in the areas concerned, we have decided to act now in order to be ready and prepared for any future government decision to introduce safe standing in Premier League stadia. Season ticket holders who wish to move seats from these areas will be able to make an application when the renewal period opens. Information on this renewal period will be communicated to season ticket holders over the coming weeks. We are excited to welcome you back to live football at a loud and improved Stamford Bridge next season!" "Introducing Westview Welcome to Westview, the newly renovated West Stand Upper at Stamford Bridge, which following consultations with supporters will be significantly upgraded ahead of next season. The biggest development to the West Stand since 2001, Westview will be part of our hospitality offering and will include a complete refurbishment of the concourse in the upper tier, with two new 360 degree bars and a new food court offering improved range and quality of food and drink, as well as views across London. In the stand, the matchday experience will be enhanced by three new big screens which will be installed to ensure all seat locations can view the screen content for the first time, and all seats will be replaced with brand new, padded seating. We have also installed a wheelchair accessible platform with four wheelchair and personal assistant places. These changes are in line with the feedback we received from season ticket holders. We will be rewarding season ticket holders in the West Stand Upper by holding the current price they pay for next season to try out the new facilities. A new pricing model will be adopted from 2022/23 onwards, with an account manager on hand to answer any queries and provide support to season ticket holders. There is no commitment to take up their seats the following season when prices will increase, and they will have the option of moving within the stand or to different parts of the stadium. Season ticket holders will be personally contacted by the club in the coming weeks to discuss the options for their seat." Well, if the away fans are to be allocated there, in the corner next to Shed End, I would say it's a horrible decision history wise.

CarefreeMuratcan Report post Posted May 27, 2021 How much extra capacity could do you reckon we could get in if safe standing happens?
Flinkers Report post Posted May 27, 2021 54 minutes ago, CarefreeMuratcan said: How much extra capacity could do you reckon we could get in if safe standing happens? 1:1.6 is usually a good ratio for safe standing areas but current Green Guide regulations permit up to 1:1.8 So, for example: Shed End = ca. 6800 x 1.6 = ca. 10880 spectators.
