Point taken MT but no need to be so churlish.

'Churlish'? Seriously chara, you surprise me.

My comment wasn't a criticism of your post, simply and observation as to why this forums have strength.

The best of this forum is shown by the personal interactions as well as football "discussions".

But primarily, it is a football forum.

If you disagree or think my posts need censure then fine.

If I did, I would. Thanks for the advice,

But to be honest I think you are out of line.

    Again, you surprise me.

    Why all the grandstanding today?

Not from me. All I did was ask you why?

If any of you think Hayes should replace Lampard, say it.

I doubt that anyone thinks that she should replace Frank, just that maybe she could if that situation arose. It's not a crime, mate - there's plenty on here that have already written-off Frank -I don't happen to be one of them.

the real question is can Frank make progress over, say, the next 18 months or are we hoping for  something that is not possible for whatever reason?...now that is a yes/no question.

Have no real idea - and honestly, neither does anybody else. And anyone who says they do, is kidding you. Guesses? Yes, plenty of those.

The  truth is that if Frank doesn't deliver what Roman wants, then he'll be punted. Until then, it's all guesswork with a couple of fairly obvious agendas thrown in.

Well obviously he does, but that wasn’t my point, my point was that I was and still my surprised Frank didn’t look to have a more experienced number 2 to lean on in the early years of his managerial career. Which, I think is a fair view is it not?

Yes mate, a fair view. Clearly not Frank's view though.

I do worry that Jody wants to be one of the lads a bit too much and is possibly too close to the academy players in the squad - I obviously have not evidence to back this up, it’s just a feeling I have from the little we see of the interactions they have.

I think that people formed opinions about Jody way back when he was on the drink. Fair opinions at the time, because the drink made him a dill. But from what I've seen/heard, he seemed to have sorted himself out, and did a great job at the academy. And I've not heard any different since. Frank had the opportunity to see him first hand at Leeds, and chose to bring him with him. That surely should say something positive, I'd have thought.

Blame Frank or Jody but I don't feel they are a good mix

Based on what exactly? They were a good enough 'mix' at Leeds.

Jody appears not to feature in much.

In what sense? I have to say that I've never particularly liked Morris (back from his playing/drinking days), but he must have done something right/good at Leeds for SFL to want to bring him with him. And from what I've seen, he's always there with the players at training, etc.

Frank may rate Jody or maybe he is not in a position to change things at the minute.

Yes, he may. Wouldn't surprise me in the least.

Imo, the last part of that sentence is baseless speculation. Frank keeps Jody? Oh it must be that he can't change things. Couldn't possible be that he rates him, could it?

I'd like to see a right horrible bar steward as number 2 giving players hell for sh1te performances.

Maybe that's exactly what he does inside the sheds, and on the training paddock? I don't know that for certain, obviously, but then nobody here (from what I can tell) has any insight as to what goes on, and who talks, etc., in those 2 places. Frank chose to bring Jody with him, and that says a lot to me.
