So would I. I don't think anybody wants another Marin/Moses. We either spend big or use what we already have.
  2. Transfer Talk Topic

Very good point. There had better be a concrete plan in place should we sell Mata to acquire a player better than him who will fit Mourinho's system. Salah isn't that. He is Everton standard.
  3. Transfer Talk Topic

Can't he get one on appeal?
  4. Transfer Talk Topic

According to @dimarzio Wallace will be returning after his loan to Inter this month. He looked great during preseason so I presume he'll be lending some cover for Bran.
  5. Non Chelsea: Champions League

Milan would've been the worst tie we could have got surely?
  6. Non Chelsea: Champions League

Drogba on Twitter: "I am very happy that we drew @chelseafc because for both games I will be playing at home :)" What a legend.

How can you expect him to have "done the business" when he hasn't even been given a sniff? In all honestly, what Lukaku showed at West Brom is raw talent and ability above and beyond anything Ba will ever be able to achieve.

    This. And only this.

Our strikers are poor! That's the point!
  10. Transfer Talk Topic

Discounting Eto'o (whom I haven't seen play yet), we genuinely have one of the worst lineup of strikers of any top half PL side. Ba is a midtable to relegation battler player at best, whilst Torres is pretty much a non-entity bar his customary few hope-instilling moments per season. What Mourinho was thinking allowing him to leave is beyond me.

Liverpool offered £25m for Mata? Why don't we offer £22m for Suarez, just to p*ss them off - after all, that's what they paid for him?

  14. Official: Juan Mata Leaves For Man United

Not to be smug or anything...but I did predict it... ;)
  15. Non Chelsea: Premier League

What do you expect? Usually when United play Spurs they get some form of refereeing aid - Fergie's outrage is based on not receiving it on this particular occasion.
  16. Didier Drogba

He never used any pace he did have though, he evolved into a team player who constantly passed it backwards and barely ever tried to get past his man; something which I remember frustrating a lot of people on here under Ancelotti.
  17. Didier Drogba

I'm not saying he was crap, I'm saying that he was terrible when played out of position on the right wing due to his lack of pace. There are certain strikers that you could just about get away with playing on the wing, Sturridge is one of them because of his pace and dribbling, Torres maybe because of his pace and crossing. Anelka however had no pace and had to simply rely on his dribbling which worked about 10% of the time.
  18. Didier Drogba

Dear god, Anelka on the RW again - move, stop the ball, turn around, move 2 yards forward, stop the ball, pass backwards. Repeat.
  19. César Azpilicueta

I'm wary about signing this guy mainly because I remember him crocking his knee Essien-style a couple of years ago. Let's hope that he's not going to start suffering the same kind of problems as Essien did in the future.
  20. Official: Juan Mata Leaves For Man United

Doesn't anyone else find it worrying that Mata has been selected for the Olympic squad, straight after just having played in the Euros. He's also scheduled to play in two friendlies mid-July against Senegal and Mexico. He was burnt out at the end of last season, I can't envisage what he will be like next season with literally no rest or holiday whatsoever all summer?
  21. Official: Chelsea Sack Di Matteo

Great news, nice to have some stability ongoing from the previous season for once! Let's hope this was in Roman's mind all along and RDM specifically targeted Hazard/Marin himself.
  22. Official: Eden Hazard Departs For Real Madrid

Welcome to Chelsea Eden! Let's hope he has a long and prosperous career at the Bridge :)
  23. Official: Eden Hazard Departs For Real Madrid

Some strange parallels between Hazard and Dr Faustus becoming apparent...
  24. Official: Eden Hazard Departs For Real Madrid

According to them it was a "done deal" that we'd signed Aguero about 3 years ago. I hesitate to even consider them reliable after that.
  25. Didier Drogba

Goodbye Didier, we'll never forget you - absolute legend :) http://www.chelseafc...2785353,00.html
