  1. Chelsea 2 Real Madrid 0 (3 - 1 on aggregate)

Seriously. Over 180 minutes not a single soul could have complained if we won that 7-1. We completely bossed them today and they had nothing to add to the mix whatsoever. Tuchel deserves a lot of praise, he’s made us almost impossible to beat. What this team is lacking is one serious goal scorer upfront but then again Havertz was sublime today. Ditto Werner. I was cursing badly when he was taken off for Pulisic but then again he came on and just continued what Werner had started. Mendy, Silva, Rudiger, Azpilicueta, Kante, Mount, Havertz and Werner were different class tonight. Jorginho deserves a lot of praise to keep his cool in such a precarious position after an early yellow. I’ll say it now, we will revenge the awful penalty loss to Man U in Moscow 2008 against the other Manchester side. Pre-cursor on Saturday. Let’s see how this ends up. But I’m quietly confident to be perfectly honest. Get in! The third ever CL final for the club. Absolutely amazing stuff!

I'm sorry what? So if I don't agree with your opinions of a players that means I don't watch them play? Do you even read what you write? It does come across as quite arrogant I must say... Not at all. Unless you want to float the idea here that the Bundesliga and the CL is as good as the PL - which they quite obviously aren't. The CL has about 2-5 serious games each season depending on how far you progress in the competition. The PL is 38 games. He wasn't playing left wing. Ever. So yeah, you still don't get it. The heatmaps was there to clarify things for you but no, they were obviously not coloured enough for you (sorry, but feels like you are playing dumber than you are here). For a combined £120m I think most were looking for a bit more than "they can play". Werner at 21 scored 21 league goals for RB Leipzig. Håland in the season he turns 21 has scored 25 league goals for B Dortmund. No one has claimed Håland isn't a good player, what I see is posters questioning him being priced as a generational talent like Mbappé/Neymar. Looking at their goals and assists that's a truly bizarre comment even for you.

Never said Werrner was a left winger. All those posts and you still don't get it? Havertz may be able to play anywhere. The question is how well. So far he hasn't been the generational talent you promised he was. So... You watching games in Bundesliga doesn't really matter when it comes to me (or anyone else) forming their opinon on a player. Havertz is hardly a striker, he isn't a right midfielder and over time I'm sure his best position will be in a attacking midfield position. But so far he isn't quick or strong enough to play there.

Every time someone disagrees with you, you come dragging with "but have you seen him play?". Havertz and Werner are two. in the end you didn't even seem to have ackowledged what positions both had played in. My point is this - it's one thing being good in Germany and the CL. To do it consistently in the PL is something alltogether different. I like Håland, he has the physique and pace and I'm sure he would do well here. But for the money being bandied about I think he's vastly overpriced. Look at where the market is going for football in general. The money is quickly disappearing and the product is a lot worse today then it was 10 years ago. That his agent is Mino Raiola is a big thing. That man is an absolute bellend and will cause us a lot more headache than it's worth. But it's a stupid discussion to have, there is about 0% chance that he will come here. He will go to Real, Man City or Man U.

I’m not sure you should be doing this again.
  6. Transfer Talk Topic

Oh not this again. There are countless of players who looked the dogs bollocks in Germany only to come here and look distinctly average. He’s ridiculously overpriced. His agent is Mino Raiola. We need a striker and Haaland has a great style. But for £160m you expect a Neymar/Mbappe and that he is not. Not even close tbh.
  7. Chelsea 2 Real Madrid 0 (3 - 1 on aggregate)

No doubt chara. It’s 7 years since we were here last time. So we haven’t been spoilt with CL semis over the last few seasons. However, this is the weakest Real side since the beginning to mid-2000’s. It would feel like an opportunity lost if we don’t progress to the final. On the other hand. It would feel awful making it to the final only to lose out to City... That would actually be horrible.

With a striker like Benzema they only need a half chance to score. So yeah, unless our attacking players will bring their shooting boots for a change then I think we will find ourselves in trouble. 1-1 is a decent result, but if Real scores one we need two and if they score two we will need three. It’s a tricky situation we are in. We can’t just play it safe and hope for a 1-0 win. For this one we will have to replicate the first 25 mins in Madrid for a full 90 mins or close to it. Hopefully this team has it in them.

Yeah. He was only their top league goal scorer and goal scorer in all comps. As a wide midfielder/attacker nonetheless. Maybe the football league and FA gave him 18 goals because he was a Liverpool player? That sounds reasonable. It really is a miracle Mount wasn’t their PotY that season. Must be some sort of conspiracy surely. But not against Chelsea, considering it was Tomori who won that award...
  10. Transfer Talk Topic

Yep. Just like Harry Wilson, Derby’s outstanding attacking player that season and on loan from Liverpool. Where is he now one might wonder?
  11. Transfer Talk Topic

You read “automatic starter” based on starts. That’s because, well, the manager started him. When I write “automatic starter” I mean that from a universal POV, his reputation and performances combined. An awful lot seem to have forgotten Mounts performances from say his first 10 games and what many pundits were saying. A lot of people were very surprised he started so much. Performances in the beginning certainly didn’t warrant it, leading to a lot of Chelsea fans screaming about nepotism and that he only played because of Frank. My point is that Frank gave James, Mount and Abraham a lot more chances than a foreign manager ever would. But I’m done with this. There will be fans who can see what Frank did to the academy players. Then there will be fans who take the route saying ridiculous things like “he was good enough so he’d always shine through under any manager”. Which obviously is pure garbage.

Strange to bring up Abraham as an example when I never mentioned him. But sure, as you seem to think he’s a great example let’s run with that. The second Lamps was off he’s played **** all. Mount was surely not a star performer when Lampard started to play him. To claim that is selective memory in a very extreme way. He was promising, but nowhere near an automatic starter until well into the season after he had been given plenty of games to prove himself. To be perfectly honest, it wasn’t until the beginning of this season where he really started each game on merit as being the best choice without doubt. Before that any manager could easily have found excuses to not start him. To not recognise that is disrespectful to Lampard in a very extreme and ugly way. Actually, it’s so off the mark I’m not even going to waste another second discussing that with you or anyone else.

And Tuchel has played Gilmour how much?
  14. Transfer Talk Topic

Tuchel has binned off Abraham and Hudson-Odoi. James is playing and Mount as well. James I imagine because we don’t have another experienced RB other than Azpi. If we did he’d be bummed as well.

As has been the norm lately you’ve lost your way mate. I was no Sarri hater. Quite the opposite, I did not want us to replace Sarri with Frank. But to claim my imagined bias against Sarri or me being overly pro Lampard when I say that couldn’t be further from the truth. But let’s be perfectly real here. Lampard pushed through these lads and made sure they got a real chance. If you can’t see that you aren’t looking very hard.
  16. Transfer Talk Topic

Hardly Lampards fault the club sold Hazard. As for the rest, if you think Sarri would have started Mount, Abraham and James you’re on heavy drugs. Lampard gave Mount and James the time to play themselves into the side. Neither were star performers from the first game. I don’t think any other manager would have done that. Definitely not Sarri.
  17. Transfer Talk Topic

Fine is a strong word. 6 points more than Lampard in his first season and Sarri had a fully fit and firing Hazard. It was a defensive style built around Jorginho. He was decent, but certainly far from universally thought of as good or even fine.
  18. Transfer Talk Topic

Quite. I'm certainly not Abrahams biggets fan but to see him get so few minutes when the rest of our strikers are stinking up the place is curious to say the least. If Abraham has decided to leave it will be because he can't get a look in regardless of what he or his direct competition does out on the field. Again, quite. It certainly wasn't stupid. Rüdiger, Alonso and Jorginho aren't exactly suited to play in and with a back 4.
  19. I can tell. Maybe because you are stating I'm saying something I'm not. I said IF we want to give him a bonus for a cpecific achievement it could make sense to give him a new contract because in effect that means we will pay him off when we undoubtedly sack him somewhere in the next 24 months. What I would do, if it was up to me, I'd wait until december 2021 before giving him a new contract. And even then, it would't be longer than 3 years tops (so in effect until summer 2024).
  20. No not really contradictory at all. I said if we want to give him a bonus it would be after he has achieved something of value. Achieving something of value is no guarantee he will stay very long anyways. We have plenty of examples of that at this club since 2003. No matter how you twist and turn the average stay for a Roman manager is 17 months. Plenty of those was heralded as the dogs bollocks only to be sacked months after.
  21. European Super League

I think Lampards first season was more than expected. But he didn’t outperform Sarri. 2019/20 4th 66pts 2018/19 3rd 72pts
  22. Real Madrid 1 Chelsea 1

True. But much like Courtois the blue whale wouldn’t have “saved it”. The ball would have hit the whale without any effort from said whale.
  23. Two directly contradicting statements.

If the options are Lukaku (£80m+?) or Danny Ings we'd be better off keeping Tammy.
