Kurt Zouma. He is simply a joke of a defender. How bad has he been today? It’s almost like he doesn’t want to play for the rest of the season.
  2. Chelsea 2 West Bromwich Albion 5

Of course he doesn’t. Not one of them can function in a back four. Well, Azpi can if he plays at RB. Other than that they are all **** in a back four. In a back five with two defensive mids ahead of them they can function. But it comes at a cost of not enough goals scored. This is the balance Lampard struggled with for parts of his first season and basically every single game for his second.
  3. Chelsea 2 West Bromwich Albion 5

They cannot cope with success either. They are basically unable to stay consistent and very quickly seek to think they are some sort of champions. In reality there are no winners in this squad. 4-1 now. Another lesson on how not to defend.
  4. Chelsea 2 West Bromwich Albion 5

Played off the park against WBA managed by Sam Allardyce. Zouma is all over the place. Alonso ditto. This could very well get ugly. Plus, a bad result against Porto and we all know how these iron-willed mentally strong giants reacts to any sort of headwind. It could go downhill very quickly.

Tuchel honeymoon over? We are back to defending like a bunch of absolute morons. Alonso, Zouma, and Jorginho has been diabolical. Thats 3 points given away. Really really pissed off. Why did he feel he needed to change a winning combo at the back?
  6. Chelsea 2 Everton 0

    Mount is already a star.
  7. Because their relative performance was better. Based on their respective clubs, squads and performance I think those managers did a better job.
  8. Tuchel - won against Liverpool and Everton, knocked out Atletico Madrid and progressed in the FA Cup. Mourinho - Won against Palace, Fulham, Villa and lost against Arsenal and got knocked out of the Europa. City - won agaist Wolves, Fulham and Soton. Lost against United while knocking out B Mönchengladbach and progressing in the FA Cup. I can agree it's a bit weird from a result perspetive that Pep isn't in the mix, but then again JM rarely was when he won almost always with us in his first stint.
  9. Official: Chelsea Sign Timo Werner

Sure, but a far fairer comparison is Abraham vs Giroud and Werner vs Pulisic/Mount/Havertz imo. Werner isn’t a typical #9. It’s not like Giroud and Abraham isn’t playing because of Werner. Mostly he hasn’t been played on that central role. Bang on. That was my point really.
  10. Official: Chelsea Sign Timo Werner

Although it is easy to write him off I do think that if he starts to put some of those easy chances away he'll be looking at 15-20 goals/season with another 10-15 assists to his name (all comps). With that comes an increased confidence and we all know what confidence (or lack thereof) will do to a player. This season so far he's got 10 goals and 7 assists - that's 17 goal contributions. No one in the squad tops that, Abraham comes closest with 12+4. I haven't given up on him yet.

They didn't have to, they had him play senior football att Barca B.
  12. New Kits

Sweet Mary J.... That can't be it.
  13. Andreas Christensen

Yep - I've wanted Christensen out (or maybe more precise, nowhere near the pitch) for a good 3 seasons now. It underlines no such thing. Christensen has been largely wank since halfway through Contes second season. He started 6 PL games under Sarri (23 in Contes second season).
  14. Media / Press

Oh I agree, it's a very unintelligent prank which chara nails when he calls it spiteful. There are people out there with actual gender issues who do not feel comfortable in the gender they were born into. It's a low blow - not only towards James Rodriguez but to anyone who has ever faced such challenges.
  15. Media / Press

I think that the likelihood of such a rumour to be true is desperately low. Even if he felt the need to do it, surely he would wait for another few years after his active career was over?
  16. Chelsea 2 West Bromwich Albion 5

Bit tricky this one, what XI will TT go for? Personally I think; Mendy Azpi Christensen Rüdiger CHO Kanté Jorginho Alonso Mount Werner Havertz
  17. Champions League 2020/21

Agreed. I’d definitely prefer Real Madrid in a potential semi. I’m sure Liverpool would find a way to raise their game and beat us. It would be very hard to stomach. Can we hope Real smash them to pieces?
  18. Chelsea 2 Sheffield United 0

Yes, but there is a difference between weakened but still top class and weakened as in almost useless.
  19. Chelsea 2 Sheffield United 0

Cudicini could make a save. I don’t think that skill is outdated for a keeper.
  20. Chelsea 2 Sheffield United 0

Great. I suppose that’s decent for a third choice PL keeper. In the league where I care how his performances pan out he’s sucked big time. I don’t think there are many PL sides where he’d be first choice.
  21. Champions League 2020/21

You called it! Best possible draw from a strength perspective. If we manage to get past Porto I’m not overly scared of either side that awaits. It fees like it’s a long time since we had such a good chance of playing in a CL final. On the other hand, imagine losing to Liverpool in the semis and then watch them go on to win it 🤢
  22. Chelsea 2 Sheffield United 0

No not what I have seen. The deficiencies in his game are so serious that it’ll take some time to rectify them. To have a keeper who doesn’t end up conceding 50% of the shots he face is fairly standard. You simply can’t persist with a keeper that bad. He doesn’t even have one single strong point in his game that we could build on. Personally I hope we manage to dope someone into taking him on. But the chances are pretty slim.
  23. Chelsea 2 Sheffield United 0

Harsh? Not even if he never played for us again would it be “harsh”. It would be exactly what his performances deserved.
  24. Chelsea 2 Sheffield United 0

Doesn’t really matter. The progress Kepa needs to do is done on the training pitch (if it’s even possible).
