And Sportsnight with Coleman, small boys using jumpers for goal-posts. Halcyon days.

I judge our performances on going to the games every other week and watching what seems like a procession of poor corners and free-kicks so I suggest you do us both a favour and just ignore my wild ramblings that are based on nothing more than regularly attending games.
  3. Khobar's Legacy

    Nice one.

Thanks stat man. I'm afraid I was basing my judgement on going to games and the complete lack of expectancy from the people in the crowd.
  5. Media / Press

Yes to all of the above. If I was the opposition I would have few qualms about conceding us corners or free-kicks.
  6. Khobar's Legacy

According to Fernadicko in the Guardian Costa is always trying to wind up the opposition but his response is to remain calm. I am hoping that our players show the same calm when facing Fernadicko at Stamford Bridge so I at least have the pleasure of running on to the pitch and kicking his severed head in to Joe Hart's safe pair of hands.

Spot on there. It's good the papers have also alerted them to Costa's "antics" when all Fernandinho had done was attempted to put his elbow in one of his ears and out of the other. That Costa will clearly need another red soon.

You know Pool have been lucky when Paul Joyce of the Excess admits it.

Phil McNumpty on the BBC website "City manager Manuel Pellegrini was left frustrated last season as his lavishly talented squad failed to live up to their potential, but all the riches were on show in front of a record crowd of 54,331 at the newly extended Etihad as they demonstrated a desire to reclaim the title Chelsea took from them last season." Dear oh dear could you get a more Blinkered Biased Cack interpretation of events than this. What next? Songs of Praise featuring Kompany and Co singing Kumbaya to show what a peace loving non-confrontational squad they have, incapable of misdemeanour or agression. And we know what Pellegrini means about Man City always dominating Chelsea when they play them. He means they always try to,trip, elbow, hack any player who might present a threat making sure the yellow cards are evenly distributed. I look forward to Pellegrini wondering why - when they again try to do this in the ECL - they end up down to 9 men. We deserved to lose today but if we do turn it round then all the media gloating will make it even sweeter.
  10. That pretty much sums up my position also. The night Jose left I (along with other CFCnet members)were on the back of the rags the next day pictured holding up the "Jose Mourinho simply the best" banner. I also did several rants on Portugese TV. But, even I wondered if The scum that mascerade as a free independent press in this country might be a bit more impartial towards us without the Special One to vilify. Not a Chance! Every single season that passed we got slagged off for changing managers or spending money or basically just not being Liverpool. The only way we as fans are going to get to enjoy any credit is to start supporting Liverpool and I for one would rather be Max Clifford's publicist that be associated with that rotting, stinking corpse of Scouse nostalgia.

And in the Mail the story is that a player might have sent her some flowers! Hold the front page. On a separate but related point I see that the publicly funded BBC website insultingly refers to the Man City v Chelsea game as El Cashico which given the recent money spent by Pool, United and Arse makes you wonder what their clashes will be called. Perhaps given the number of Man U and Liverpool fans who live in Surrey their clash will be El Plastico and the amount of hot air expelled by Rodgers and Wenger their clash will be El Gastrico.

Good spot Pete. There's one in the Sunday Fail where the crayonist claims Mrs Abramovich is furious about it.
  13. Media / Press

The Sunday Excess has reached a new low today. On page 39 Dicko Ricco gives a thumbs down to "the ridiculous early judgement which has invaded the game" whilst on page 35 Colon Naff Hands scrawled in big crayon "HEAT's ALL ON JOSE". This is a new direction for the Excess where the hacks are creating a paper they wouldn't even wipe their own a***s with. Speaking of a**e wipes, smug thicko Jim Holden (doesn't even merit a rude non-de-plume from me) attempts to draw a parallel between Eden Hazard's tumble and Bert Trautmann playing with a broken neck and he has he front to call Jose "Typically crass" though to be fair Holden is an expert in crassness.
  14. Agree. The other danger is the journos (who prefer to deal in upper case) will sneak a look at WALOB's post in this thread, rearrange his words and use it as a quote for Monday's papers to suggest that the club fails to condemn Jose loyalists having a physical dig at the medical team.CHELSEA DO NOT BLAME THEM APPALLING BIG BLUES FANS SERIOUSLY THUMPING SMALL BLUES MEDICAL STAFF. Remember you read it here first.

Carry on Theo starring Arsene Williams "Flamini, Flamini, all we've got is Flamini." I'll get me coat.

Matted Dung starting his predictable annual anti-Chelsea campaign in today's Excess. A made up account of the Jose/Eva diatribe lacking fact or insight. This bloke should be made to commence all of his articles with the words "I don't know F-all but I reckon....".
  20. Khobar's Legacy

And cue the media adulation as the scum rob 3 points in the 86th minute. Anyone fortunate enough not to have watched Liverpool in the mid 70s to 80s should watch the hghlight( in the singular) to get a feel for what that period was like (just substitute the name Whelan for Coutninho). Still at least it shows what an over-rated player Gerrard was as without him Pool can turn a 6-1 hammering into a 0-1 robbery.
  21. Media / Press

The Daily Excess seem to have given up on their beloved Pool and are concentrating on bigging up the Arse on the back of two FA Cups and a Commnity Shield. I look forward to ten months of reading about their wonderful football and how they have spent no money to achieve success the right way as they ultimately fail. Yes they managed to scrape a defensive 1-0 against us in the Nothing Shield but one swallow does not a summer make.

I also notice the Daily Excesss' half-hearted, grudging and virtually invisible mention of our Chelsea Ladies historic and glorious victory in front of 30,000 people at Wembley. 30,000 people must be easily twice the real circulation figures for the Excess and yet they only see fit to devote the number of column inches to it you would need to list the number of honest, accurate and unbiased sports-writers in this country.

You're too kind Mr Bar. What gets me most is the fact the talentless fool feels compelled to publish a mug-shot showing he could easily be the love-child of a 1970s Scottish footballer, a stand up-comedien from the 1970s Comedians series or an extra from the Sweeney.
