Yeah..I wasn't defending him but the media attempt to classify it as an intentional "assault" as opposed to bad technique with an horrendous result is what sickens me

Oh agreed.  Complete misjudgement and even if ref/VAR didn't give RED and penalty because of a dubious and largely irrelevant offside, Pickford would have expected both.  There is no way he intended a collision as it happened.

Which makes the media reaction all the more appalling.

Clearly Liverpool = > England.

We are going thought possibly the most incredible week of "media reaction" across the world I have ever seen.
I think media have stopped "reacting" all together.  They are entirely about deciding what to create and what to deny.  Football is only page 32 of the trend.

The big talking point was Var and the blatant penalty we were denied for a choke slam by Maguire. So what photo does the Guardian use for its analysis?

Aha probably see this as political, Manchester Labour stronghold vs Fulham ..... close to Westminster so bias allowed.

It gets worse. Look where the CL ranks in importance according to Sky (lost the bid to BT) tonight 👇

Thinly disguised dig at Chelsea's ownership here, probably use it as the excuse to be as negative as possible about us in their match feed.. as if they need an excuse

Thinly? It was spread thick like clotted cream.

Also, I find it hard to believe that this corner shop turned into a billion dollar business without any political favour. Not in Russia.
