Watching the Fulham v West Brom game and they have Efan Ekoku on commentary. Never heard him commentate before but I must say he is excellent. Non biased, speaks sense, calls it as it is and has a great voice. Would prefer him to any of Sky/BT Sports current employees.

Yeh, I think he does a lot of US feeds and things like that. Always been good on the few occasions I’ve heard him.

I quite like Tim Cahill doing punditry so far. Formulates his points well and sticks up for himself in front of the others.

I’ll keep an eye out for him then, it makes a refreshing change listening to them as opposed to the “usual suspects” we have to put up with!

I caught him as a pundit a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised at how good he was (no reflection on him, it's just the bar is quite low sometimes).

I liked him as a player too, although he could be a bit 'dirty'.

he needs some wardrobe advice first. He looked like he had taken a blue jacket and trousers from 2 different suits, then capped it off by wearing blue trainers.

I did enjoy his attempts to get Roy Keane involved in a coversation about tactics, rather than just ranting. Didn't work though

Yeh, he was definitely competitive and not one to back down to very much.  I had a reasonable chat with him at Millwall after a game once - thought he was a nice bloke.

Thought he did quite a good job of sticking to his guns and not letting Keane just bully him into agreement though.  Sky clearly like Keane's approach (and it can be entertaining), but between his ranting and Redknapp's cliches and just picking the obvious, it was nice to have someone actually trying to acknowledge the details and plans from the game.

It's also funny when someone points out how and why Man Utd have lost.  I find that highly enjoyable.

Keane is an absolute dinosaur. He doesn't understand modern tactics or the modern game.

His rants are just a drunk man in a pub type stuff. Offers no tactical insight into anything.

My wife might well say that he's been taking dress code advice from me in that case.

And yes, why Keane gets employed as a pundit baffles me. He's just determinedly belligerent and nothing else I reckon. I find every appearance from him in a punditry role to be predictably and consistently unpleasant. Patrice Evra has a similar effect on me too. Interesting that they're both ex-Manure.

You're quite probably spot on there - but they clearly like him and how he does it.  He's different to anyone else they have and clearly not bothered if he rubs people up the wrong way, so an attraction in some manner for that.
