I have come round to the opinion that I would rather have no-one come in than Higuain this window.

Just stick with Hazard as a false 9 and Giroud for the rest of the season.

Sign someone proper in the summer.

The problem with that is we would have to bring in another AM which would be very difficult very and costly.

Also the manager wants him, maybe we should let him get who he wants as I'd like to think he knows a bit more about football than most of us.

Does that mean you are advocating selling Morata and replacing him with nobody?

Leaves us desperately short up front numbers wise. Hazard, Pedro, Willian, Giroud, CHO.

4 senior pros and a kid for 3 positions. Not for me, Clive.

What the manager wants and what is good for the club are not necessarily the same thing.

13 goals at top level football,  think I'll wait until he does a bit more than that before worrying too much.

With that mentality, pretty much explains why the clubs go for 30 year old strikers. Torres, Sheva all pretty much had hundreds of goals before coming to us.

Not really, it is common sense. Piatek has had one purple patch, and suddenly we are talking about £70m.

Would be a huge risk, and certainly not worth getting into a tis if we choose not to sign him

So we should sign a player that has played a grand total of 19 league games?

Probably better than another over 30’s South America striker on loan.

Maybe it will be 3rd time lucky.

What a frontline. Pedro, Higuain, William. ~95 year young. Wooohooo happy days.

You don't see Hazard playing much then?

If Higuain comes in and grabs a few goals that turn some of the draws into wins, it will be worth it, irrespective of age.

We can re-evaluate in the summer, with Morata and Giroud off the books.
