there is a training video up on the chelsea website - there was no Jorginho or Tammy :(

you'd have thought they would have some sort unwritten rule about players playing (starting) in all 3 matches. Seems unnecessary

I think Southgate has his own unwritten rule about playing any player in more than 2 consecutive games.  Still I daresay Mount will be doing his best in training to get another start.

Can you imagine having that conversation with Deschamps about Kante if you were Chelsea manager?  He'd be going full-on short man syndrome in the media about it.

It is only a week since Deschamps talked about Chelsea and Kante with the press and what a great relationship he has with the club.  Then he sent him home after 1 game although he seems to have happily finished the 90.  If there is an issue here, it will be Kante trying to play too much.

sorry - slightly off topic, but UEFA just announced that both Champions league ties against Porto will be played in Sevilla.

Mason mount NOW doubtful after sitting out training

Seems like he’s okay to play now.

However, why the f@@k is Southgate playing him three games in a row?! He wouldn’t play Kane in 3 matches

our injury list is now: Kante, Jorginho, and CHO. And that’s from today

Why not just play them both in Porto. That would be fair.

What, you mean we get away goals for both? Might balance out their actual double home advantage...

Can't find the official Jorginho threat!  But someone sees something in him.

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has been named as the best player in the Premier League, with Arsenal's Granit Xhaka and Brighton's Pascal Gross also in the top 10.

In data developed by the CIES Football Observatory, the Brazil-born Italian tops the league table for Premier League table and comes in third behind Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski across Europe.

Beyond Jorginho, Xhaka and Gross, the remaining top 10 are made up of Thiago Alcantara, Harry Kane, Luke Shaw, Wilfred Ndidi and Ruben Dias.

CIES describe the process behind their findings as "robust" and cover the last 1,000 minutes each player has played across Europe's top five leagues; the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, the Bundesliga and Ligue 1. More on their "methodology is here.

Obviously his last 1000 mins are better than how he has played earlier in the season or last.  But he is doing some thigs right.

... Granit Xhaka, though. And I rate Jorginho!

Or Luke Shaw.
I guess the methodology has some specific things in it.  Probably like moving the ball on fast which Jorginho is excellent at.
Reminds me of Wilkins (the blue shirted version) - always had two options in his mind before he even knew the ball was coming to him.
