Nice gentle second half today has helped ... Also gave clues as to who starts on Tuesday

Jorginho, clearly

Yes, but then Porto will actually try to stop us playing from the back, unlike Palace who appear not to have watched any of our games (or perhaps Zaha and Eze are excused running around duties).
All the front 3 put in good claim.

This is all about managing the game and not allowing Porto to get at us. Job isn't about scoring but rather controlling the game. Worst thing that could possibly happen to us is letting them score in the first half.

Mendy

Dave AC Rudi

James Jorgi Kante Chilwell

Mount Puli

Giroud/Harvetz

Arguably the perfect game for Tuchel's tactics, if we can control the game and possession like we have done so many times before, we should be able to see our way through to the semi-finals. It won't be easy as Porto will press and fight hard and will be in our faces from the off, so the players need to be prepared for it. Team selection is interesting, I imagine Tuchel had an 11 in mind before Palace, but that may well have changed following that game, for example I would think he was planning to bring Werner in after a rest, but surely you can't do that now. The other questions he'll be asking himself is do you put Kante back in? do you put Silva in? Alonso or Chilwell? James or CHO?

I think we'll see:

Mendy

Azpi - Christensen - Rudiger

James - Jorginho - Kovacic - Chilwell

Mount - Havertz - Pulisic

One game at a time, Giroud must start..

get one more goal and there's no way back for Porto,

Then on to the semi final against city..I for one don't want city to do the quad, so I don't want to see people on here saying the FACUP doesn't matter, who ever wins should win the FACUP

The last bloke who prioritised the FA Cup got the sack and he's just about to win the Italian League with Inter after four years of nothing .

Does it make much difference if we score? Porto need 3 to progress. 3-0 and 3-1 send them through.
